From the moment when you'll open your amazon delivery box, you'll thank yourself that you got a GOOD NAME Brand & QUALITY product for $49. They come in very good packaging, clear, easy to understand instructions/guide. The plastic case, buds & rubber tips are VERY VERY HIGH QUALITY for $49. Plus, the they have 8mm drivers, which is GREAT! Specifications: Speaker: Φ8mm Dynamic (most of the wireless earbuds in the market packs 6mm driver), Neodymium Magnet, 20Hz-20kHz, 32 Ω Output: 103±3db Bluetooth Version 5 Range: 30+ ft. Support Protocols: HSP/HFP/A2DP/AVRCP More info: https://www.jlabaudio.com/products/jbuds-air-true-wireless-earbuds-charging-case Things I love about them::: = Sound quality: It's balanced, rich and fuller. Very good amount of mids, balanced highs and good enough lows and bass. Bass is not very punchy. Overall, I love how they sound + you can change the sound signature by tripple clicking either of the buds. You can choose between Jlab Signature/Balanced/Bass Boost. I personally like Jlab Signature. It's V-shaped EQ, I prefer this. Check this spotify playlist created by TLD (Jonathan Morrison of YouTube): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3wmqwmIrP6MFizjiyM7k6y . I've listened all these tracks with these buds connected to MacBook Air and they sound AMMMAZING!! = Call quality: I haven't receive any complaints from my wife, so I believe they sound good. You can ONLY use right earbud for calls, thats a bummer. Call sounded very good coming from the bud, even on NY subway stations. = Build quality: Its a QUALITY product. Feels VERY good comparing to any of those other unknown chinese brands. They are very high quality earbuds, case & rubber tips. = Functionality: I prefer touch control, but there is always risk of accidental touch on them. These buds have very good button. They are not firm, easy to press and have rubber Jlab logo. And because the buttons and buds are BIG, they are easy to hold and press. I was able to use all of the controls quite easily. On RT bud: Click x1> Volume up & answer call; Click x2> Trigger Siri/Google assistant & end call; Click x3> Toggle between 3 EQ; Click & hold for 1 second> Next track & reject call. On LT bud: Click x1> Volume down; Click x2> Play or pause; Click x3> Toggle between 3 EQ; Click & hold for 1 second> Previous track. ONE thing to note, although these have volume control, it is NOT earbuds volume, you will actually control the volume of the device. They don't have independent volume. On high end earbuds/headphones, they have own volume, independent of the device volume. = Battery life and charging: 3-4 hours. You should be able to finish 2 movies depending on their lengths. They charge quickly, 15mins of charge will give you 1 hour worth of playtime. Included USB cable in the case is a good touch. I love it. = Fit in ear: They came pre-installed with medium ear tips. But I felt comfortable with smaller tips & without the rubber fin. With the fin, it does not fit in my ear very well. The rubber fin makes them more bulky. = Connectivity: VERY VERY good. I use them with Google Pixel 2 XL phone, Samsung Tablet, MacBook Air and my Samsung TV. I HAVEN'T yet encountered ANY connection drop yet! Which is AMAZING. The left did reconnected 2-3 times, but it happened within a second. So far, connection is SOLID! As good as my Sony over-ear headphones. Things I don't like: = Size: They are bit big, bulky and not very ergonomic. And the bulk does not provide any extra battery life. I guess 8mm driver makes up for it. The case is FAT too. It is NOT comfortable in a jeans pocket. I REALLY WISH these bud were little smaller! And I wish the battery life was little longer than 4hr in single charge. = During standby (not playing any music/video), the white LED on both buds stays ON (constant on). It looks weird when you have both buds on your ear and not playing music, the white LED stays on! In the end, I think they are THE BEST earbuds from a reputable audio company for less than $50! The quality it provides at this price, is remarkable. I don't why I didn't get recommendation about these earbuds before. I had to try and return two other off-brand earbuds. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these without any hesitation.

Fantastic idea, but sadly didn't work out for me!

I seldom write reviews, especially not less-than-5-star ones, but I had such high hopes for these! After months of researching, watching countless truly wireless headphone showdowns on Youtube, and seeing fantastic positive reviews of these earbuds, I decided to purchase them before the Black Friday wave. At $49, these are wonderfully priced for an average consumer, their design is sleek, and the concept behind them is great. The issue I had lies within the design. I really do not fault JLab as truly wireless headphones are in their beginning stages, and they created a solid product to pioneer discreet, functional buds that don't cost an arm and a leg. When I received these, the instructions were very easy to follow and I paired my earbuds up with each other. After maybe 10 minutes of listening to music, the left bud was useless; I could not hear anything. I thought there may have been an issue with it charging incorrectly, or that there might be an issue with the left side of the charging case, so I tried to charge them on the right side. The left bud blinked its blue light but was unresponsive to both my device's Bluetooth and to the other headphone. Usually, when you turn each earbud on, there is a 'hello' that you hear, and I only heard an idle beep, then nothing. I also tried letting the battery drain completely and charging again, as this sometimes resolves the wireless headphones, to no avail. I debated the idea of requesting a replacement for the left bud, but I ended up requesting a refund for the following reasons: 1. The voice prompts were a little bit too much for me especially the couple of reminders when you are at 10% battery & the hello/goodbye. 2. These were unable to connect to my Macbook Pro which is the main reason I bought them; after searching on my laptop, restarting my computer, and even switching networks, the headphones were unfindable. 3. The USB cord for charging is a few inches long and to connect it into a computer/charging port limits your use of the case and it also compromises the position of the headphones charging in their case, which I thought was also the initial culprit to the left bud not working. After reading a few comments on their customer support videos that they kindly (and promptly) send out when you contact them, I see that I am not alone with these connectivity issues. I will wait it out until JLab comes out with a second iteration of these that have less kinks. I emailed JLab forgetting that I purchased through Amazon and could just refund my purchase online; they responded with the previously mentioned YouTube video about pairing your device. When I replied that this method was not the underlying issue, and the left earbud was unresponsive, they sent back a thoughtful email to give them a call and find out what was wrong. I ended up returning through Amazon since their customer hours coincided with my work hours. I also paid for the return (this is not a pre-paid return), which again isn't a huge deal since it's $8 but if you're on a budget sometimes every penny counts. If you buy these, keep in mind that these have not been out for consumers to test for a prolonged amount of time and a lot of these reviews are from people who have had them for a couple of days/weeks (usually expressing an initial [and warranted] 'whoa these are revolutionary' after being tethered with wireless headphones for years); these are a brand spankin new product and of course you run the risk of them not working. In the grand scheme of things, this is a small issue as companies send out faulty products all of the time, and you can always get a replacement/return easily from the company (not sure if you have to pay for the shipping of the purchased product), but due to the design of these, they just weren't for me. I commend JLab for their fast customer service, innovation, extremely fair pricing, and vision for the future of audio. I am very excited to see the new generation of their audio products in the future.
