New Ring WIRED Stick Up Cameras - Small Profile and AWESOME Images
By David Dobles on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2019
These cameras are amazing. During setup I had an minor issue when trying to use my Samsung Galaxy S9 Note, it would not successfully allow me to connect to the cameras WIFI. I tried my older Samsung Tablet and it allowed me to connect and add the cameras to my WIFI. Other then that, the setup was very easy and it automatically saw I had the RING security system and asked to be linked to it. In order to ensure my cameras do not get interfered with, I configure my router to assign Static IP addresses to each of them. This way they retain the same IP address even after resetting them. Once I had the cameras setup I was able to now use my Galaxy S9 Note to get them configured. The video imaging from these cameras are amazing (very clear in both day and night modes). The best thing I like about these cameras are their small profile design. Crooks entering my home will not spot them easily. Just for your information, these camera's are independent from the main security system, and will record and send motion alerts, so you will need to decide if you want them to record ONLY when the main system alerts when active, or provide continuous recording and alerting. I shut down continuous recording and motion alerts since I did not want them to continuously record video when my main system is disarmed. Don't want images of my wife walking around in her undies on the WEB, LOL. All in all these are highly recommended and a great addition to my security system.

Slow notifications and slow to open live feed... Videos cut off
By Tessy on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2019
Notifications are slow. Connecting to live view takes so long that by the time it loads whoever was at the door or in the motion zone is already gone or has come inside. Then you have to exit and wait a couple minutes til you can check what trigered the motion. Has gone offline several times for no reason even when internet is at full bars. Videos are inconsistent and sometimes it records fully until motion stops but mostly cuts off after just a few seconds. Today I got a 9 second video that cut off while there was still motion. This makes it completely unreliable. I contacted customer support. Several times and each time took like 30 minutes to connect me with a rep online. Then I was told the videos are cut off after 60 seconds if I don't live "answer" notifications... Even if there is still motion in the motion zones. This is partially correct since it seems to be a recent change. I have videos where ring recorded until several seconds AFTER motion stopped. In the time I have had it... It has not been worth the cost and in order to view missed notifications I have to pay a monthly fee on top of that. There is no option to record 24/7 either on cloud or sd card and live view is only allowed for 10 minutes at a time. I work so cannot answer every ring which means the ring cam will record whatever it feels like and I have zero control. Definitely the worst camera with basically zero support for such a high price. When I first left a 3 star review they kept calling and messaging me to "help resolve my issues" except they have no control either and cannot remedy the things so blatantly wrong with this camera. I absolutely do not recommend this. But a wyze is spot and save some money. The ring is trash
