Gaming Chair High-Back - Black/Red/White

I'm honestly surprised this product has such good reviews. I knew opening the box that we were going to have problems when i saw pieces sticking out of boxes. Additionally, I noticed that the head pillow had dust on it fresh out of the box. Some reviewers mentioned that this chair was easy to assemble... I would not describe my experience that way. Keep in mind I've also ordered and assembled a 6 ft bookshelf in addition to a dining room table with 4 chairs within the past two years for my new apartment; so its not my first try at this. For starters the instructions were obviously written by someone who did not speak English as their first language. It is written with broken English. This is minor though, as you can still understand the gist of what it is saying. However, the instructions are by no means intuitive. It took me way longer than it should have due to poor diagrams and presentation. I actually ended up using a YouTube video. When I did actually assemble I had additional problems as it appeared some of the holes were not correctly spaced being too close together! This resulted in an excess of 10-15 minutes of positioning, screwing, realizing it is not going to fit, unscrewing, repositioning....you get the idea. I finally did get the bottom frame of the chair just right, but even then I could not tighten all bolts completely and had to just say "good enough." The main defect with this chair however was with the gas cylinder. It somehow completely malfunctioned immediately upon attaching to the seat of the chair. I hadn't even sat on it before it was broken. As a result, I could not get the seat of the chair to decline, no matter how hard I tried. Lastly some general impressions: I was actually really underwhelmed by the quality of the material. Realize that it is just foam, so it by no means looks good. It even has that foam smell.... I can't say this wasn't advertised, but just realize it does look and feel a lot cheaper than the top photos convey. Would not recommend this chair. Will select different company and material next time.
