Superb picture

Wow. What’s not to like about this tv. I am a Sony fan and this is my first Samsung. I am impressed. The picture is awesome, I use an antenna as well as Prime, Netflix and Hulu. Set up took a while even after downloading the app on my iPhone and signing in, I had a hard time having the Tv recognizing my account. I tried logging directly on the Tv bypassing the phone and kept getting error logging in. I gave up and when I turned the Tv back on 30 min later or so I was signed in. No issues with the WiFi or sign in since. I still can’t believe how clear and realistic the picture is. Sound is awesome and I will not need the sound bar I was planning to get. I love the remote especially when using the over the air channels and I press the channel (right) button and I get the Tv Guide. Update December 2019. I purchased the TV in October 2018 so it's been over one year. It's monted on the wall using PERLESMITH Full Motion TV Wall Mount bought here on Amazon. This TV still deserves the 5 stars I gave it in my original review. What prompted me to update the review is the 1 star reviews from many who are probably unaware of certain settings. I mostly use the On Air TV with an attic antenna and Netflix, Prime and Hulu. I have no idea what all the low raters are talking about ads and how to take them off and wasting time to google the problem but I have heard of certaing drugs which make people hallucinate. First there are NO samsung ads on Live TV. Samsung does ad Plus TV which appear to be Pluto TV channels. I love having the TV guide displayed for On Air TV. So NO annoying ads you have to panic about. Never had any issues with brightness but it can be adjusted. Go to setting and download the manual right on your TV. WiFi is great but if you have issues it's probably your crappy 5 yr old router, maybe you should upgrade. I use MOTOROLA MG7550 16x4 Cable Modem Plus AC1900 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router bought on Amazon and it works great. I cannot say enough about this amazing TV. Very happy with it and will definitely go to Samsung for the next.

THIS TV SHOULD BE ILLEGAL - 0 STARS

THE BARELY GOOD: The picture quality is "decent". That is the only possitive remark I can make about the TV. THE TRULY BAD Here is the list of problems with the TV: 1. TV Plus...This Samsung application NEVER GOES AWAY. For three weeks, TVPlus re-installed itself after I followed the complex process to get rid of it. The last update fix it so you can never make it go away. 2. You cannot get rid of all the advertisements. 3. The entire platform is built around guiding you to buy their movie and television content. 4. The TV has the worst "Soap Opera" affect that I have ever seen on any HD or 4K television 5. You will spend hours googling to try figure out how disable all the settings that disfigure the Quality. 6. It's dark. Max brightness is still not bright enough – What is the best way to test a new 4K Tv’s brightness?? Watch the first few several minutes of the Star Wars movie, "Solo". The beginning of the film was intentionally dark for artistic reasons, which uses a lot of dark shots that require a "high quality" television to be able to see the distinctions in the movie. 7. I won't say that I will never buy another Samsung product, bit it is not likely. I should have the right to uninstall or disable any "Adware", feature or applications on any device that costs me over $1,000 dollars. The real tragedy is the large number of innocuous one-star reviews complaining about damage that occurred during shipping. That has nothing to do with the truly horrible nature of the product working as Samsung intended it. Samsung's blatant disregard of their customer's desire (should be a right) disable or uninstall unwanted features and apps that serve no purpose other than to make more money selling you garbage after you already paid for the product. Why do I have to acknowledge an overly lengthy user license? What did they hide in the user license verbiage that even a lawyer would read unless he was being paid by the hour to do so.
