Casio CT-X3000 Video Review - Tutorial with Video Index
By Walter on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2025
The Casio CT-X300 is a very cool keyboard. The 800 instrument sounds (Tones) sound very good. The instrument tones blend together nicely when recording multi track songs. The CT-X3000 has three ways to create music, you can create music using the built-in Rhythm Song Controller, Phrase Pads and 16 track midi recorder. I really like the 16 Track midi recorder because I can record any of the 800 instrument tones to any track and edit the composition as I go using Copy, Insert, Delete, Punch-In, Clear Measures, Clear Songs, Clear Tracks, Quantize and Event Edit. The sequencer in the CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 are the best sequencers of any of the arranger keyboards by any manufacturer on the market for the money. You also have 10 internal User Bank locations to save your sequenced songs and you can also save your songs as “Casio Midi Files” and “Standard Midi Files” to a USB Thumb Drive by using the USB Port on the back panel of the keyboard. The files can then be loaded into any DAW/Sequencer software or hardware sequencer. The CT-X3000 has 61 non-weighted keys and the touch sensitivity is spot on. The CT-X3000 also works very well as a controller keyboard. Simply press the “Function” button and scroll to the “Midi” menu and turn off “Local Control” and connect a standard USB cable from the keyboard to your computer. You can also select which Midi channels 1 through 16 to transmit your keyboard playing to your computer DAW/Sequencer software. You can also edit the instrument tones and multi effects and save the edited version to user memory banks and USB thumb drive. The Rhythm Songs can be modified and saved to user banks and USB thumb drive, you can also create new rhythms from scratch and save those too. Overall the CT-X3000 is a 5 Star keyboard. And all the features of the CT-X3000 are available in the CT-X5000 plus extra multi effects, memory storage, and two ¼ inch Left/Right output jacks and a few more features. I recommend you try the CT-X3000 or CT-X5000 if you want a full featured arranger keyboard at a great price. You will have to step up to professional grade arranger keyboards to get as many or more features. 5 Stars. I created a video demonstrating the multi track recording capabilities of the CT-X3000 so you can see how it works. There is a video index below so yo can skip to the features of interest to you.
