Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand

Christmas gift for my wife to support an iPhone XS Max. Also from Santa's 2018 bag. I use a 4 year old Galaxy S4. Got to figure that one out? Out of the box on to the kitchen counter plugged it in. Done. Works as advertised with a small footprint. Easy to determine if the phone is positioned properly and seems to be pretty forgiving about it. Soft grip surfaces provide a stable platform. She is not a power phone user. So we don't much care about performance bench marks, etc. Just does it do the job charging the phone and look nice doing it? It does both of those for us. Update: After 2 months, the iPhone XS Max suddenly quit charging. Defective charger. Amazon made an exception to the 30 day rule and sent a new one. I returned the original one. Update 2: Replacement quit working. Though is failed more quickly. Only lasted 5 weeks. Amazon refused to replace this 2nd one. However, Belkin customer service is processing a warranty return. So is the 3rd time charm? Now 3 1/2 months since Xmas, down for half that time. And I've made two trips to the UPS Store. Update 3: Belkin replaced the 2nd charger issuing a prepaid mailing label. Took another trip to the UPS Store. After 3 weeks turnaround, this one didn't work out of the box. Dunno? What I do know is they agreed to take this 3rd one back with nary a blink of the eye. Like they know and are willing to wait me out. Albeit with kindness. But this is it. I hate to eat $50 on my original purchase. Not to mention the time and effort, but it now appears there is a systemic problem with this charger and our iPhone XS Max. Only The Shadow knows. And I don't know him.
