A really good player that handles all current disc types.

DVD, Bluray, Ultra HD -- these plus CDs and home burned discs. -All are part of my library, and so how nice to find a reasonably priced player that seems to handle them all perfectly. The its sized to stack with standard hi-fi and video components , too, is a plus. It does with wireless connection -- which for most of todays systems is redundant -- was for me no problem. Maybe even a plus. Its remote is, as others say, very small. But its coding matcches an older LG remote that I still use on rare occasion. That to a player used solely for foreign coded DVDs. Now that one remote controls either and the rarely used player has its power cut off by an 'Alexa' switch so that it does not try to respond when I am not using it. I purchased the unit, listed a "used but like new", and got a box that quite obviously had never even been opened. I could not be more pleased!

Simple, but **DUMB**

I'm all for a simple straightforward unit that doesn't have a bunch of features I don't need, such as apps, etc. But one of the reasons I bought this unit was because it plays lots of different formats and codec types of media, including MP3, AAC, FLAC, MKV, OGG, etc. BUT you can only play these from either a disc or a USB dongle. You CANNOT browse a network share on your computer or file server to access such media. And no DLNA access either. I never would have thought this to be the case given that the unit has a wired network port! How hard would it have been to include a simple network browser that every other DVD player seems to have?? So yea, you can play an MP3 or MKV file, but only if you're willing to physically go to your computer or server, copy it to a disc or USB dongle and insert it into the LG unit. It's really the dumbest of oversights on the part of LG. What's the point of being able to play so many types of files when it's such a pain to get them to the unit? FAIL!!!
