I should have bought this sooner!

My wife and I needed something to watch our shows in the bedroom. We didn't want all the clutter of having a TV and TV stand. The Nebula Mars II by Anker is a great buy. I currently have it sitting on my night table next to my bed. The picture itself I think is great. It states 720p but I can say the picture is more than sharp enough (#autofocus is good). The sound is much better than I expected, it can get pretty loud so I keep it around half way most of the time. You can probably get away with it if you are using the projector outside. If not you always have the option to pair a Bluetooth speaker. The built in interface is really easy to use and it is easy to set up out of the box, the apps work fine for me. I like the ability to turn it off and on by just shutting the cover in front of the lens. In terms of build quality, the projector feels sturdy enough, it doesn't feel cheaply made, the handle feels like it is made with quality materials as well. Currently I keep mines plugged in the entire time on a Manfrotto tripod and currently have my Nintendo Switch, Roku and a DVD player connected to it (using an HDMI switch). The battery power alone works just fine but I haven't tested it extensively. (Claim is 4 hrs) If there was one thing I wish this had... it would be zoom. I have to physically move my night table to get the picture to fit my wall. (Something to consider when planning your set up) Overall the Nebula Mars II by Anker has everything you need for a projector experience, this will save space and is easy to take with you anywhere you go. I also plan to use this to project calming images and sounds for my newborn. Give your space a different feel, I feel like I've got my monies worth. -BIG

Disappointing. Customer service lacking. Product defective and dies after two years.

Update: The Nebula Mars II died after two years. If this were a cheap product it'd be understandable but this is an expensive machine. Looking at the support forums this is extremely common. Support just says their product is defective and if you are past the 1-year warranty then you are out of luck. Steer clear! Pros: * Comes in a nice box * Relatively easy set-up * Auto-focus works well Cons: * Customer service was not great. I contacted customer service a few days after we received it to ask about setting up Hulu. As I explained in the contact, I had already downloaded both Hulu apps and neither were functional. The response was to "download the other Hulu app." I responded saying I had already done that and asking for an unlock code so I could attempt what others have stated is the right workaround, and they didn't respond at all. Subsequent attempts to contact have resulted in no response. This was especially disappointing given that others on here have claimed good customer service. Perhaps they laid off the team doing Customer Service? Either way, I'd say BUYER BEWARE: Don't expect any help from them. * Remote only works on a few apps, so you end up spending a lot of time futzing with the mouse function trying to select things. Highlighting of selections is also poor, even on the apps that should be well supported such as Netflix. * Very few working apps. Youtube works well. Netflix works but you mostly have to resort to the manual mouse functionality to select items. Hulu doesn't work at all. Facebook Live videos also don't work at all. Bottom line: I bought the Nebula because I expected a premium product with great customer service. The projector itself is good, but the software running on it is not great and the support is bad. And I'm no spring chicken to tech, I've worked in tech for 20+ years and still do so. I feel bad for anyone non-techie who gets this product as your experience will likely be even worse.
