Easy to install

I like the clarity and resolution with which this Dashcam records, it is very easy to install, you just align and stick the included support in a suitable place on the windshield and it is ready to record, of course you put a suitable memory card in it, the integrated GPS is very helpful when you play their videos in the rexing player that you can download for free from their site. In general it is highly recommended.

Weak Power Connection to Motherboard
By DAJ on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2022
I purchased two Rexing VP1 dual cameras on Amazon; both of which have failed despite careful use and storage of the cameras in their original foam padded boxes when they were not being used. The first camera, which occasionally was transferred between vehicles, failed because the power plug connection broke internally. Upon examination, the plug was weakly soldered to the motherboard! The power plug is under torsional stress when attached and removed from power. Soldering the plug to the motherboard is a seriously flawed design that almost guarantees failure of the camera because it breaks the power connection internally and makes the camera un-useable. These cameras also are in very light and fragile plastic cases. The second camera's monitor failed despite it never having been under pressure and never being pluged in and out frequently.I was offered a re-conditioned camera (i.e., damaged or used and subsequently repaired), then offered a new camera after I refused the used or re-conditioned one if I paid $32 US for shipping and handling. I saw no reason to get trapped into endlessly paying for un-reliable new, used, or re-conditioned and poor quality cameras that probably will continue to fail early. For the safety of my family and for legal protection while driving or parked, it is essential to have cameras that can be relied upon under various conditions, including handling, without failure within one year or less.Either these cameras are badly designed or the poor design is purposeful. Such planned obsolescence' is a very common practice today. One only needs to read how frequently people complain about product failures on the Internet; including on Amazon. Worse still, US corporations pretend their products are 'US' when in fact 95% are made by less skilled labourers working at low income and for long hours in China and other countries. Then, these cheap and poorly made products are imported to the US at exhorbitantly increased prices. My advice is not to trust any so called 'US' product made in China. I purchased a reliable, well made, and robust camera by Thinkware that is made in South Korea. Read legitimate reviews carefully. Caveat emptor!
