WELL CONSTRUCTED FOR 80 BUCKS!!!

When I first removed the ANYTEK from the AMAZON packing carton I was impressed with the weight of the AYTEK box. When I opened up the camera box and removed the camera I was extremely impressed by the look, feel and weight of the camera. This camera has a TON of features and looks good in both Daylight and at night. It is a full 1080P and it can also shoot in 720. You can also use it to shoot stile in a range from 1.3 to 12 megapixels but don't plan on using this as your holiday get away camera. When shooting still and using the camera out of the car on it's internal battery I only got 10 minutes and 15 minutes is stretching it! This cam also takes up to a 64 GB SD card but don't waste your money. It states it will do a 10 minute loop but my software only permits 5. You can probably get by fine with a 16 or 32 GB card. The camera tends to run a bit hot. This time of year it isn't a problem but we will just have to see how it does in the Arizona heat when the car temperatures reach upwards of 122 degrees in the sun. This is why I have not bought a camera with a plastic housing. I have had devices in my car just sitting on the seat with my windshield shade up only to find a misshaped melted object. The sun here has totally destroyed 2 suction windshield mounts so we will have to see how this survives. I was extremely satisfied with how stable the picture is while driving and lack of road noise. PROS: Well Built Good Picture Quality Nice Fit and Finish Stable Picture Low Vehicle Noise Takes Wonderful 12 Megapixel Stills Can Boost video for a Brighter Picture at Night but it adds a bit of video NOISE when GAINED UP LONG Power Cord so you can run the cable almost anyplace CONS Short Internal Battery Life Needs More CHOICES for Recording LOOPS with longer times Moving Through and Getting into the MENUS can be a bit cumbersome until you get the hang of the Camera The manual could be better written to explain features In short, the shortfalls are out weighed by the quality and construction. Check back here in August for an update. For $80, you really can't go wrong. I would like to see a second camera looking back into the car. I think that would make this camera AWSOME!!!!

Plastic parts are of extremely lower quality - don't buy

The plastic parts that are used to connect this device to the rotating ( and even rotating) screww are made of plastic of extremely low quality - it took me 1 adjustment to see that the camera is not holding but loose...I am not sure if I can still return these? I only opened one- second one intact as was sent. so upsetting.

Anytek Dash Cam.

I delayed for years from buying a dash cam because most of them have quality issues of one kind or another. I came across Anytek (Chinese made) with good reviews so I decided to take a chance buying one. The casing is made of metal and it feels very rugged. After a couple of weeks of test run, I found no issues. The playback image is good on its display. I have yet to see the playback on a TV screen. The suction cup does it's job well but I won't leave it on the hot sun and out of the eyes of would be thieves. The swizzle is solidly tight. It didn't move during the test run period. This cam didn't come with a memory card. If you don't have one, you need to buy a micro SD card. A standard SD won't fit. Go big. Go for a 62 Gb high speed card. Get it from a reputable retailer because there are lots of fake memory cards out there in the open market. To protect your investment, know where you're buying from. I had the wide angle lens reduced a couple of notches so as not to see the hood and mainly to zoom in closer to see the tag in front of me. The instructions suck. Not easy to follow, short in explanation and difficult to set. If you have problem, I suggest you follow others online for advice. The other thing I dislike is that the time/date doesn't stay current when the unit is unplugged for sometime. But for the performance and the decent price, I recommended this product. I will update this review if there's any issues in the future.
