Amazing - will be buying more!!!!

I love this little thing so much. It works with every single one of my phantom powered microphones, and it seems to boost the quality, by providing better amplification than the preamps built into my zoom H4 essential recorder. So not only do you raise the volume, but you also give a lot more separation between the audio and the noise floor. I put the inline amplifier right by the microphone, and then have the cable running to the mixer or recorder. This way it boosts the signal before it is transmitted and is less likely to pick up noise . This thing works really well, and I will buy more as I need them for my ever expanding setup. Highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their existing microphones and recording setup.

D.O.A.
By Rabid Hamster on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2019
I only get hiss when I attach the Fethead to an AT2035. No actual audio is passed to the interface. Phantom power is on and the mic works fine without the Fethead attached. It appears to be D.O.A. It’s a shame because I’ve heard so much great stuff about Triton. I really was hoping the D.O.A. issue wasn’t as common as reviews seem to indicate. Not sure if I want to reorder from Kellards via Amazon or try an authorized dealer. I’ve reached out to Kellards. I’ll update if anything comes of it. __________________________________________________________________ Edit 06/20/2019 I returned and reordered twice. All three were D.O.A. and returned. The Phantoms I ordered from Kellards showed signs of physical wear and tear. The matte finish on the center ring of each was chipped. The units themselves were a bit grimy and looked like they had been handled and used. The label on the tube stated “New”. I’m not sure how to interpret that. Kellards seems to have a good reputation. I’m not blaming them because there are multiple links in the chain to my front door. It’s difficult to tell where the issue lies but I’ve now reached out to Triton Audio for guidance. When the Fethead Phantoms work, they sound great. I’m really just hoping to get a working unit. I only hear hiss and no actual audio is passed to the interface. I tried different condenser mics and even swapped cables and ports on the mixer with no luck. Everything works fine without the Phantom in the chain. I tried various interfaces and a PA system. From experience, I know that the Fethead Phantoms work great so this is not the norm. The Gear Used for Testing: -Audio Technica at2035 condenser mic -20’ Mogami Gold 2534 XLR cable -Behringer XR18 X Air digital mixer -Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 audio interface -Yamaha PA system -Three different Triton Fethead Phantom units from Kellards I’ll update if anything new develops. I sincerely hope to improve this rating. I’ve had great results with the Fethead Standard for dynamic mics. It outperformed the sE DM1 Dynamite with the same test gear listed above. I know I'll be equally satisfied if I can get a working Phantom version. Also, I did get a return message from Kellards and they stated that they are actually an authorized dealer of Triton products. They are also listed on Triton Audios website. So that's good news. I messaged them again after the final Phantom was returned to explain my experience. I’m waiting for a response.
