If you are a dedicated trumpet player and know how to practice correctly, this mute can do more than just muffle your sound. It works very well and I used it for a few long sessions in the woodshed without killing my chops. The resistance helps endurance while working through difficult studies.

Love the device, but company unresponsive to issues

The sound is great with the right headphones. I was changing headphones and the headphones connector in the module broke away. I have had this for two months and have sent several emails to the company through Amazon with no reply. Since I no longer can plug a headphone into the module, the device is useless to me. Low rating is only due to the selling company.
