Good mount with great documentation
By PinJim on Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2023
I used this mount with an 85” Samsung QN90b tv. I’m pleased with the results. First, the good. The stand itself seems to be well built and handles the weight of my 85” reasonably well. Their documentation really set this mount apart for me. First, I came with a nice wall template. Second, the written instructions were excellent. And thirdly and most important to me - they have an online tool that helped me calculate the exact distance from the floor to the holes on the mount. And that tool is very well done and easy to work with. It was game changer for me, taking a lot of the guesswork out of the installation. If there is a downside, I wish the wall bracket was a bit wider to I had the ability to span it across 3 studs, thus giving me more ability to move the tv farther left/right on the bracket. With the way my room is set up, I hard to slide the tv as far right as possible on the wall bracket, and you can see that the bracket is pulling away from the wall / flexing a bit. I thought the lag bolt might be pulling out so I took the tv off the wall, but that wasn’t the case - the bracket is simply flexing a bit. I have zero concern about the bracket breaking, just wish they’d made it longer. Maybe they didn’t so it’d work with smaller tvs too, not sure. Also noteworthy and something you don’t get with other manufacturers, they provided a lot of bolt sizes, washers and spacers for the brackets that attach to the tv. That’s awesome as on other mounts I found myself at the hardware store buying random bolt lengths to try and find the right size. All in all this thing is very nice, would definitely buy again.

Good but no screws for Samsung QN95B
By Optymizer on Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2022
TL;DR: works as a wall mount, but you need to buy your own M8-1.25x10mm screw from Amazon (or Home Depot) to be able to mount the Neo QLED TV from Samsung. I bought the SANUS VTL6-B1. The biggest issue I had with it was that it did not have screws that would fit my thin 85" Samsung QN95B. Because it's thin, it needs small screws, which it does not provide. Sanus comes with a whole lot of screws, but the smallest ones are M8-1.25x16mm and M6-1.25x12mm.The TV manual (which is not available online - thanks Samsung!) says you need an M8-1.25 screw and that it goes into the TV at a depth of 5-6mm, and then Samsung lets yo compute the final length of the screw because they don't know how thick the mounting hardware is. Well, for this Sanus, it turns out that the 6mm TV depth + 2mm mounting hardware thickness + 1mm washer thickness sort of gets you to a 9-10mm long screw. Great, but good luck finding an M8-1.25x9mm screw! I called Sanus about this and the lady, after a long time on the phone and lots of back-and-forths, basically told me "your options are to wait for 5 business days for the screws or go to the local hardware store". I ordered M8-1.25x10mm from Amazon and waited for a day for the screws to arrive. They fit the TV, so this story has a happy ending, but it didn't have to be this way. The Sanus website said the mount is compatible with my model. Technically that's true, but not in a way that a reasonable person would expect - it's implied that there would be screws to attach to the TV. Once I attached it to the TV, and installed the wall plate, everything clicked into place. I'm giving 3 stars because: 1. TVs are thin these days and it is expected that appropriate screws will be included, especially since the Sanus website says the TV is compatible with this wall mount 2. Sanus's customer support solution to mounting my flat TV was to insert a gigantic spacer that would cause the TV to rest on the edge of a long screw, not to mention that it pushes it farther away from the wall 3. it's not as close to the wall as I would have liked. There's a good 10cm or so gap between the wall and the TV. 4. The wall plate could have been a bit wider. My studs are at 16" distance from each other and that restricted my options for installing the wall plate in the center of the wall, as well as how far I could move the TV horizontally. Pros: * Sturdy * Once mounted it's good * Online site to compute measurements based on your TV * Human available on the phone to answer questions * Easy to install (all things considered) Cons: * Does not come with screws that fit thin TVs, particularly the Samsung QN95B. * Customer service suggested hacks instead of a real solution, did not offer to cover any costs associated with acquiring missing screws * It just seems like a wall mount for older TVs, based on the gigantic screws that are provided
