Great bluetooth speaker for the price!
By Eduardo on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2017
I have several bluetooth speakers including a Bose Sounlink, Braven 405, JBL Flip 3 and this one Oontz Angle 3 Plus and will review this one based on the qualities I tested during my use. First of all the delivery was very fast. Ordered it on January 12 and got it on January 14 without having Prime membership. I already know this brand because my brother has the Oontz Angle 2 plus and it has lasted two years and still works great. When I got the Angle 3 Plus I started using it right away. First thing I noticed is the sound is great for the size and price of the speaker. Bass is nice and not too strong to distort or mess with treble. It sounds really balanced. Now the thing that really impressed me was the battery of this speaker. Battery last a long time. Since I got it on January 14 I used it on full volume for four days almost all day. I have never seen anything like it. Thank you Oontz for that! Compared to tge other speakers I have: Bose Soundlink: the Bose sounds twice as loud but it cost $300 at the time I got it. Also it is not splash resistant and battery of Bose is short. Braven 405: this speaker sounds balanced but it falls short on sound and is priced at $80. The good thing is that its battery las long time and is water resistant. Flip 3: Love the sound of this little speaker but the battery falls short and the bluetooth range is not good. Priced at $99. In conclusion if you want good balanced sound, great bluetooth range, excellent battery and save money you can't go wrong with this bluetooth speaker. I paid $35 for it and firmly believe my money was well spent on it. Thank you for reading and hope it helps you on your decision.

Cambridge OontZ Angle 3 Plus compared to UE Boom 2
By Dan T on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2016
I bought both this and the UE Boom 2, along with a Taotronics transmitter/receiver. That Taotronics can connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at once. I connected the transmitter to my Direct TV box outs and connected both devices and placed in my bathroom. Comparing the two: UE gets a 5 for sound, the A3 Plus gets a 4. UE gets a 5 for construction, as it seems a bit more solid. AE3 Plus gets a 3.5 Ease of use - UE gets a 5. Well positioned dials, easy to turn on and adjust volume. A3 Plus gets a 3.5 - buttons are a bit more difficult to use, but still very usable. Functionality - this is where the UE shines. It gets a 5 as it connects very easily, and have had to only connect once. Nice, but not obnoxious beeps to tell you everything is working. Although I have not used these features - it can connect to multiple sources and also 2 can be tethered for more full sound. The A3 Plus gets a 2.5 - as I have had to repair it multiple times. I leave it in the bathroom - but it just searches. I bring it next to the transmitter and still searches - so I just repair. I have gotten quite good at this LOL. Not sure if I leave it plugged in and on, if it would not lose its pairing. Cost - A3 Plus gets a 5 and the UE gets a 3.5 UE knows it can value price as people will pay for it. One note - when I run both together, they sound great in pairs ! So do recommend multiple speakers if you have a set up that accommodates. All in all - the A3 Plus is a good value - I'd give it between 3 and 4 stars. If not for the pairing issues - I'd had given it between 4 and 5 stars. Update: I spent a few hours configuring and reconfiguring the A3 Plus with the Taotronics transmitter ( clearing pairs, repairing across all devices, resets .... ). Here is what I have discovered after several combinations: The UE does not mind the order of pairing ( first or second ), nor which order when connecting. It does pair much quicker than the A3 plus and seems to connect over a longer the distance once paired. The A3 plus works fine with the Taotronics as a single speaker - but for it to work with the Taotronics in dual pairing mode, it must be first speaker turned on and then allowed to connect. Once done - the second speaker can be allowed to connect. If the A3 plus is turned on second - it will not reconnect. Not sure what to do if you have two A3 plus speakers ! Finally - I am still impressed with the sound of the A3 plus ( after playing one against the other over a couple of hours ). I bought the UE on a Black Friday special - $109. It is much more than that now. If the added features of the UE are not important - this is a good deal at $38 ! I wish I would have known of the Black Friday deal for the 3XL at $75 !
