Easy setup, great sound and a great low price.

I am quite impressed with this soundbar. Setup was about as easy as could be. All I had to do was plug the included optical cable from my TV to the soundbar, plug the soundbar and subwoofer into wall outlets and disable the TV's internal speakers. The subwoofer paired to the soundbar with no intervention from me. Even though my TV is a Vizio, this Samsung soundbar recognized the signals from my Vizio TV remote without ANY configuration whatsoever. This soundbar is refurbished but the only indication of this is the generic packaging. It came with all the accessories that were included with the original new product. The condition of all the pieces appeared to be new and everything functioned perfectly. The sound is also wonderful. I'm not sure what the frequency response is for this, but there is plenty of LOW bass but it never overpowers the sound. It is just present. The high end could be brighter though. I have had to turn the treble all the way up on the soundbar and also boost the treble using the equalizer in the available phone app. Once I had the EQ adjusted to my preferences, I tried some scenes from a couple of my favorite action movies and some of my favorite music. It all sounded spetacular. In fact, this ~$100 soundbar (refurbished) sounds better than my Marshall Stanmore speaker that costs 2-3 times what this soundbar costs.

The sound bar itself powers on fine and is fully operational

Update 2/5/20 : Its been almost exactly two years since I bought this, and it wont output any sound now regardless of which input I use. Bluetooth doesnt work either despite the display working. I think I'm going to divide this review into two sections. First I'll address the refurbished part of the order then the items performance. So I read nearly all the reviews and when I hit place order my expectations for this item were extremely low as far as what kind of condition it would be in and I fully expected to be returning this item. I suppose I consider myself one of the lucky ones. The speakers came in a brown Samsung refurbish box. The speakers were inside the original Styrofoam molds and all accessories were included and wrap well (some clearly having been opened before but rewrapped well). The subwoofer still had the original plastic sheet that covers the glossy part of the plastic as did the end of the remote. With no scuff or scratches. To address some common complaints, my subwoofer paired itself immediately on power up by itself and the remote is fully functional. The sound bar itself powers on fine and is fully operational. It does upon close inspection have an almost imperseptible dent in the metal grill that i can easily look passed for the price. Another thing is that the metal grill must have gotten scratched down to the metal by the previous owner. It's small but the thing is it was covered up with a sharpie marker. Whether it was the previous owners or part of the refurbishment process I have no idea but it's clearly marker. Again it's small and I can look passed it. So at this point in my review I actually would give this 5 stars if just based on the condition received compared to price paid ($106). Performance is where this thing loses two stars. I'm not sure from what other system other reviewers are upgrading from that makes them say this has great sound but my hunch is that they've been using the built in tv speakers. I have the system hooked up to my tv via optical cable and to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. The sound bar itself is tinny and hollow sounding and the subwoofer depending on what your listening to can go from somewhat effective to you asking is it even still on? Now here's the thing I bought this to replace a set of $50 2.1 Logitech pc speakers I had bought at least 12-13 years ago, and no joke those pc speakers blow this sound bar out of the water in terms of the tone of highs and mid, and definitely power of the bass. I'm pretty disappointed with these speakers yet I'm not really sure I'll find anything better as far as sound bars go at this price and my whole reason for buying these was to clean up the entertainment centers so I'll probably just end up keeping them. Just know that the sound Is pretty meh if you decide to buy these and you may be alright. If you are upgrading from tv speakers this will be a solid upgrade anything else and it might be a lateral move or even a downgrade. On a side note I never used the Bluetooth part of the bar and likely never will so you'll have to look to other reviews for that part of it.
