A fine pair of Bluetooth headphones
By Ansel L. on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2017
I ordered these headphones because I wanted the Apple AirPods but I decided those would be too expensive. I have enjoyed Sony headphones in the past, and these are no different--a fine product. This review is after about a month of regular use.- The sound quality is great. I'm no audiophile but they deliver great music playback for all kinds of music (country, electronic, classical, etc.) as well as podcasts or audiobooks.- I use them when I'm commuting, doing work around the house, and even while working out (apparently they're sweatproof).- The Bluetooth connectivity to my devices is seamless.- The fit is good, and the product comes with four different earbud and earpiece (the little securing arm that fits into your outer ear) sizes.- Battery life is great--I charge them about once a week with probably one to two hours of listening daily. Full charge seems to occur after about an hour. I charge them at my desk while I'm not using them.- Keep in mind that these are pretty noise-cancelling so I don't know if I would feel comfortable running with them in an urban setting at night (it would be hard to hear cars).- The microphone feature works fairly well for phone calls, but I've had a few people complain that call quality goes in and out. Don't use these as your primary device for phone calls, but they do work.My only major grievance is that sometimes the cord rubs on the collar / shoulders if I'm wearing a large coat and creates a stethoscope-like sound disturbance, but that can be easily solved by tucking the cord under the collar and out of the way.Overall, great headphones, worth the price. We'll see how long they last.

Lots of bass
By A. Fleming on Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2018
2021 update: I have concluded that my particular earphones have very poor Bluetooth performance, with constant dropouts even if my phone is on my lap. Also I have problems when connecting and listening to my TV, only 12 ft away. Certainly won't work over 30 ft as BT is supposed to. Maybe I got a dud.Item arrived in record time: under a week to New Zealand. Great work AMAZON! Right - that's that out of the way. My first impression was Wow! too much bass!, however this will be dependent on how much bass your soundtrack has to start with - stating the obvious I guess. It came with the 'medium' earbuds and arc supports fitted and in my ears this combination was pretty snug. This seal obviously gave me the maximum bass effect and by reducing the size of the earbud seemed to reduce the bass effect a bit, due to a looser seal. I'm feeling better about the sound now having had a play. I reckon the overall frequency response is excellent. Earphones are as different as headphones and loudspeakers with respect to the sound they make, and everyone's ears are different too. The earphones are quite bulky compared to some other devices but with the arc supports they fit very well, and I guess that's why they can produce the bass response that they do. I have used them with my Huawei P8 Lite, My HP laptop and even my old LG GT400 dumb-phone and they all train up and play ok. My iPad2 was a bit temperamental and didn't work first up. More fiddling necessary to get to the bottom of that, although they did work eventually. I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the Bluetooth reception and I doubt they would work over more than about 5 metres let alone 10, which may be a wishful Bluetooth maximum. Also if you have a bunch of other Wifi and Bluetooth devices nearby you may get multiple dropouts and there are warnings about microwave ovens and other devices that use the 2.4GHz frequency. I have no experience with other wireless listening devices so my opinion is purely subjective. By the way - they do not work when my phone is switched to FM radio, which was actually why I got them. With the wired earbuds plugged in - they are required as an aerial - the phone only allows earphones or phone speaker and won't switch to Bluetooth headset.
