The best little speaker I've ever heard.
By Bearwife on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016
I happened across this little speaker in an airport stereo store, where I was casually checking out the small portable Bose speakers. The salesman, who was clearly an audio nerd of the first order, asked me if I'd heard this speaker, and then we just both smiled at each other as I played it via my iPhone. So then I shopped for it and bought it on Amazon. I am now a very happy owner. In a very tiny and portable package, the speaker delivers such gorgeous clarity that it feels as if the performer is in the room with you. Everything sounds good, but I particularly love the perfection of the sound of classical music via this speaker. I also found it easy to charge, turn on, and pair -- just follow the directions. The buttons are small but not hard to work. I do recommend also getting a case -- about $13 on Amazon -- because you will want to keep this speaker well protected. I am finding myself carting it around the house now and listening to it wherever I am.

I WANT to like it....but battery is WEAK
By Benny Largo on Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2020
For its size this speaker sounds great. Switching between the settings on the app does make it sound better though. Like other people said the buttons are hard to see and push. The main issue with this speaker is the TERRIBLE battery life. I bought it because it said it was 2x140 W power, but the battery can't support that. The 24 hour battery life advertised is extremely deceptive. On higher volumes you might get 2-3 hours of battery life, and the unit gets hot after a while. It takes longer to charge the speaker than the playing time you get out of it. Also when the battery hits about 30-40% charge the unit cuts the volume WAY down. It gets so low its not even worth using the last 30% of the charge and you have to recharge it. This feature is so horrible that I'd rather have even less battery time just to keep the regular sound levels. This is the 1st gen version of the A1 speaker and I saw that Amazon now has a 2nd gen version out. If your really have to buy this speaker you might want to check out the 2nd gen version. Otherwise you will be paying 200+ for a speaker that barely has any playing time and cuts the volume significantly when the battery runs low. Very frustrating. I saw that in some of the reviews that there were battery issues but I can't believe how bad the battery is on this. I really regret the money I spent on this speaker and because of that I wouldn't buy any other Bang & Olufsen products in the future.
