Love these speakers

Love these speakers. I have an iPhone and use the iPhone app to set them up. I agree the the app is not that great, but once you set up the speakers, then just select them from your Airplay list on the iPhone. No need to use the built-in services on the app. Have used with Pandora and streaming Apple Music. Great feature is to group all (or some) speakers together. This allow me to select the group called house (all my speakers are grouped under house) as the Airplay speaker, and the music plays on all the speakers. Control volume for each speaker in the Jam Audio app. Much cheaper than buying new Airplay 2 speakers. The quality is really good on all the speakers. Nice rich sound, for my post-50 year old ears. Also, unfortunately, these (and Rhythm) speakers have been discontinued. The great news is that they are incredibly discounted, so gobble them up. The only real risk I see is that the app may not be supported in future iOS versions. Can still manage them, individually, through their built-in web browsers.

Do not buy them!!!!!

Update- doesn't matter what source the music is from, they randomly cut out every few seconds like a bad album skipping. Worst money I ever spent! Easy to set up, sound great, but they randomly stop playing after a few moments on most apps... and I was going to return them but I missed the deadline. That may be an ill wind that blew some good. Since I was stuck with them, and I have Prime, I tried that music app. Found a station on Amazon music and they will play for hours. Still issues here and there, sometimes one or the other stops for a few seconds, or they go L/R even though I don't have them programmed that way. They will not connect to your computer- that's a bummer- 4.5 gigs of music I can't play. But a possible work around is they will connect to my tv, so I may try that. Funny, they will do DNLA for TV (or so the website says) but not for a PC. No way to make a play list in the app- so sad. Also, can't equalize them... the app doesn't have an app for that! Every time you close the app it logs you out of spotify, iheartradio (more annoying than anything). Can't be controlled remotely via wifi- your phone has to be connected to the wifi to manage them, but I'm going to try setting up alexa app on phone and see if I can manage them that way. Overall for the price, they sound great and now that I have them playing something for more than 2 minutes, I'm not nearly as bummed. =-) In fact, I'm pretty happy now- I have music all over my house which makes chores so much better!
