I’ve been using the Bose SoundLink Color II for a few months now, and it’s quickly become my go-to speaker for both indoor and outdoor use. It packs surprisingly rich sound into a small, lightweight design. What I Like: Clear, Balanced Audio: The sound is crisp and clear, with excellent mids and highs. It handles vocals and acoustic tracks beautifully. Compact and Portable: It’s small enough to toss in a bag or backpack, making it perfect for travel, beach days, or backyard get-togethers. Water-Resistant Build: The soft-touch exterior is durable and splash-proof, which adds peace of mind when using it outdoors. Easy Pairing & Controls: Bluetooth pairing is quick and simple, and the onboard controls are intuitive and responsive. Built-In Mic: The speakerphone feature works well for quick calls without needing to reach for my phone. What to Know: Battery Life: I typically get around 8 hours on a full charge, which is fine for day trips, but I do top it off before longer outings. Not a Bass Monster: If you’re looking for deep, thumping bass, this isn’t it—but the sound is very well-balanced for its size. Known for their sound

Bose is well known for the sound quality of their products, but that may about it. I bought this back in early 2020 while on sale. While it sounded great when in use, charging was another story. The charging cable that came with the speaker was garbage. When plugging it in, the light would indicate that it had started charging but then would go off after a few minutes. If I wasn't paying attention, it would sit like that for some time before I had taken notice. Upon pulling the cable, 3 lights would come on and then immediately go off. I tried wiggling the cable a bit, which would sometimes but not always help to get it to actually stay charging. After about a month or so I ordered their dark blue speaker which came with a different cable. That cable proved to be much better and had virtually no issues in charging, maybe one or two in beginning. Unfortunately the damage to the battery in the black one had been done by then, so over the course of about 2 years the battery slowly died more and didn't last for more than half an hour at a "full charge". Not to mention that it only took about an hour at this point to get it to a "full charge". After setting up a repair with Bose, which cost more than half the amount that I had payed for the speaker, I sent it out and then got it back within 2 weeks. The Bose repair crew repaired...absolutely nothing. While in communication with them again, I was told that the repair team ran diagnostics and had found nothing wrong with the battery. I thoroughly explained everything that was going on and that it had actually lasted even less time on a supposed full charge. They had me send it back at no additional charge and were given detailed instructions on what to look for and test. Once I received it back the second time, I still found that the charge time and the play time were not much better. Charge in an hour, play lasts approximately half an hour or so. At that time, I gave up on contacting them again since it was evident there wouldn't be any improvement. I have since then refused to buy anything Bose anymore. Although you might not necessarily think that you may have to get something eventually repaired, find a company that has a reputable repair service as well as the quality of their products.
