I absolutely love the Skullcandy Barricade XL Bluetooth Wireless Portable Speaker!
By Billie Bushika on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2020
Item was shipped and received promptly by the seller. I love the sound from this speaker. I have been using the Skullcandy Air Raid before this. The Barricade XL is a definite improvement. I did hope that it would be louder than it is, but it's still pretty amazing. Sound is much better when laid on it's back. A great and handy feature is the built in power bank to charge my cell or other devices off of the speaker. I haven't tested out the waterproof/buoyant feature yet and honestly don't plan to. Not on purpose anyway. I also haven't dropped it or banged it around. Based on looks and feel, the Air Raid seems more rugged. Its a shame Skullcandy discontinued this XL version of the speaker. I would definitely buy another in the future. One note: It only comes with a charging cable, no wall block. Product info shows that it comes with both.

Never Worked Right
By Scott on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2021
I bought two of these to pair. From the start they would report "warning... battery overheating" or something like that. It was summer and I figured I had it in the sun. I discovered later it was misinterpreting a low battery, but it would just shutoff suddenly. One died entirely. The 2nd works still but the battery life is now running very short and just today did the "warning...." and then shutoff (in the middle of winter) the battery had 2 of 3 bars. (I just charged it yesterday.) One got "stuck" off and would not turn back on after recharging. I had to disassemble the entire thing and disconnect the power which allowed it to essentially 'reboot.' Maybe they got the bugs out of the newer model but I got screwed purchasing two that were essentially prototypes sold as a finished product and they were NOT cheap. So... to heck with you Skullcandy. Make sure your product works before releasing it.
