Reliable Batteries That Power My Devices Without Fail
By Harrison on Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2025
I wasn’t expecting much from a budget pack of batteries, but Amazon Basics 20-Pack AA batteries have been surprisingly dependable. They power my remotes, toys, and gadgets consistently without dying quickly. The batteries come fresh and last just as long as some higher-priced brands I’ve tried. They don’t leak or corrode, which gives me peace of mind using them in all kinds of devices. If you need a large quantity of reliable batteries without breaking the bank, these are a great choice. Pros: * Consistent power and long-lasting * Good value for a 20-pack * No leaks or corrosion so far * Works well in a variety of devices Cons: * Not rechargeable (standard disposable batteries) * May not be ideal for very high-drain devices Overall, these batteries deliver solid performance at a great price, making them my go-to for everyday use.

Maybe I got a bad Batch, but....
By Hodgepodgerama on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2025
I'm going to go against the crowd here and say that these batteries are average or a little below average.  They are inexpensive, but I find that in electronic devices, they don't seem to last as long as known brands, especially lately,  and sometimes you can find name brands for almost the same amount.   For example, I have several smart locks in my home.  I've been keeping a log of how often I replace the batteries in them because I thought one was failing.  Two of these doors are used frequently, one is used occasionally and one is hardly ever used.  I have used Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer and these Amazon Basics.  Typically, I get about 6-8 weeks for most of these locks and didn't notice a huge difference between the brands.  But lately, these Amazon Basics batteries have been going dead in about a month, even on the locks that aren't used much.   I don't know if I got a bad batch or if Amazon switched factories (Most Alkaline batteries are outsourced now and several factories make them to the specifications of the brands.)   I really hope this is just a bad batch.  I have purchased this package 4 or 5 times, I think.   They may be the least expensive, but if they are also the lowest runtime batteries, it isn't worth it.
