Could not be better!

The product and the customer service was as good as advertised! I was attracted to this mount for a few reasons. First the reviews were great. Second, they have technical drawings online which helped me confirm that the wall bracket would fit between and around my electric outlet and in wall wiring, etc. Third, when I read that some people were having trouble with the Samsung models I wrote to customer service and they immediately sent me a "hardware rescue kit" with like eight sizes of mounting bolts. Over-nighted it to me with no questions asked. And I hadn't even ordered the bracket yet! THAT'S customer service! About the mount.... this thing is built to last. Heavy and strong. I had no doubt it would hold my TV once it was mounted. The install was a little troublesome to do alone. The mount is heavy because the arms are attached to the wall bracket. With assistance form my wife to hold the bracket in place while I leveled it and marked the holes, it was pretty straightforward (just make sure you have the mount with the top side up). The rest of the assembly is very easy. The brackets attached to the TV with no problem - especially with all the bolt lengths I had to choose from! With the TV on the flexibility of the mount is incredible. In, out, side to side, tilting, and even leveling are easy. And I felt very confident moving the screen around - no fear of the mount failing (or falling). There's practically an infinite number of positions available except up and down. The only two potential drawbacks I had was that I have a 55" Samsung LED. First, the TV brackets had only one position available for mounting. This means the mount itself would need to be at the height you need because there's no other way to adjust height at that point. This may be the same for any VESA 400x400 TV like mine, I'm not sure. Luckily, I was able to install the mount at the height I needed so this was not a problem for me. Second, the HDMI and other connectors on the back of the TV sort of lineup with the end of the mount where the end-cap is installed. I can see where this can cause some problems (as I had read in one review), but it didn't seem to me like anything was impossible to get to... just a little more difficult. Finally, a word about the customer service. As I wrote above they had no problem sending me the bolts I needed even before I actually purchased the mount. In fact, I didn't even know for sure if I needed the extra bolts since I hadn't tried to mount the TV but that didn't matter. I had the bolts 2 days later. Based on reviews it seems that the claims made on their website about customer service are pretty accurate. They seem to really care about the product and their customers. A nice change of pace from customer service from most other companies! Also, you may not be able to call them - I had trouble so I sent email. I'm wondering if this has to do with what appears to be them being acquired by Sanus. Sanus' parent company is Milestone who seem to be creating quite a portfolio of companies specializing in A/V equipment. I recently purchased a slide out stereo component rack from Chief Mfg (also part of Milestone) and as with this mount, the rack was beautifully built and the customer service was grade A. I know the next time I need a mount or rack or related equipment, I will be checking out the Milestone companies.

Here's the real deal...
By K. Winter on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2016
I've installed TVs using Sanus Mounts, Omni Mounts, VideoSecu Mounts, Cheetah Mounts, and now this Echo Mounts. This mount ranks second to last out of those five manufacturers (cheetah being the worst) and here's why: 1. The tilt adjustment is poorly placed right next to the front brace and back of your TV so depending on where the leveler is positioned when you assemble the front you can not tighten it all the way. Poor design, if they would have used different placement and/or a shorter lever this would not be an issue. As it stands my TV slowly tilts down every so often since I cannot tighten it all the way due to this design flaw. This alone is worth docking two stars in my book and not something you figure out until it's way too late and the TV is already on the wall. This is the only mount I've ever used that suffers from this. Clearly this mount is a knock off of a knock off Chinese mount and they didn't take the time to think this through. 2. The up and down fine adjustments to level the TV are behind the center of the TV after you mount it. Not a big deal on a 36" tv but when you're mounting a 60" TV like this supports, it's almost impossible to adjust the leveling of the TV. I could not even see them once my TV was mounted. So my TV isn't more than a few degrees off level but all five of the other mounts I've used have better function in this area. 3. You have to screw on the braces to lock the TV to the mount from the backside of the TV. Big deal here. Doesn't sound that bad but it's really quite difficult to do if you are mounting a big TV off the floor a few feet. You have to get a ladder and stretch your arms all the way in from the sides of the TV and mount two tiny screws on each side to hold a plate in place which keeps your TV from falling off. Omni, Sanus, and most other mounts you simply click the TV on and pull on a tab if you ever want to release it in the future. Really annoying and cumbersome. Dock 1 star 4. The mounting holes are too few and not spaced well. The chinese who knocked off this really didn't think about this either. In order for you to hit the mounting holes for the wall your studs have to be exact;y 16" and that means your screws are not in the center of the holes they are at the edges of the holes. So if your studs are off a tiny bit, then you normally would just use the next hole on every other mount I've ever installed. On this one, you're up the creek because the next hole is a 1" away. Designers should have made either 1) more holes or 2) put the 16" mark straight in the center of two holes and allowed spacing on each side of the holes so you could move your screws out if needed. As it was my studs were off by about 1/4" so I had to drill at a slight angle into the stud to make it work. Big oversight here by the manufacturer. Dock 1 more star. 5. Finally a very minor annoyance but worth noting, the front brace your tv attaches to is not once piece like the Omni and Sanus mounts. You have to assemble it after the fact, not horrible but adds 5-10 minutes to your install time. My recommendation. Pony up the extra $30-$40 and get a omni or sanus mount. Install time was about an hour with this nightmare mount and my TV won't stop tilting. Eventually I will have to replace it with another to fix the tilting issue. In contrast the Sanus mount for the matching 60" TV I installed in the second living room of my house took about 15 minutes and suffers from none of the issues that this mount has.
