Fantastic TV with A Couple Drawbacks
By Kevin on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2015
Wonderful set. Easy set up using HDMI cables to a SONY sound bar and wireless sub-woofer. Picture is awesome. Price was amazing. Sound is decent without the sound bar, but is fantastic with it. One SONY remote that came with TV operates everything. Sound bar comes on automatically with the TV. We are happy with the Netflix, Amazon Prime and You Tube apps that are built into the set. The set connects to the internet and updates with the latest software during setup. I gave this set five stars but it isn't perfect. There is no way to delete internet channels like Crackle and Vudu that we have zero interest in. The icons remain and can't be moved or deleted. Why scroll through channels you don't want to click on the ones that you do? The internet channels available for adding to the set are decent, but PBS and others are missing. We have a ROKU player and every set maker with internet capability should take a lesson from ROKU. They did it all right. Second complaint is that the wide button to change the screen aspect does not function with internet channels. You can't eliminate the horizontal bars at the bottom and top of the picture image to fill the entire screen when watching internet channels presented in widescreen format. That sucks. You are able to use the WIDE button to change screen size or zoom with broadcast channels. SONY and every TV manufacturers should have a simple "FILL SCREEN" button that expands the picture to fill the screen of the set.
