The single best in-ear monitor for less than $100 no question
By J Howland on Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2015
I bought these headphones based on reviews and the proposed bang for your buck. I'll give the summary here and then break down the rest later. Overall these headphones simply cannot be beat for $50-60. They can't be beat for $100. They sound and feel much more expensive. The sound is organic and the sound field is bigger than expected. Music that is treble heavy sounds great, spoken words are clear and precise and the phone function is stellar. No one could tell I was using headphones for conference calls and outside sounds are virtually non-existent. Packaging (5/5): These headphones come with two sets of cords: 1 with a phone setup and inline mic and 1 regular. Replaceable cords on sub-100 dollar headphones...yep. Sturdy construction and solid connections, check. The other bonus is that these headphones come with several size options for tips and with some Comply tips. If you can't get a comfortable snug fit with these headphones you're doing something wrong. I personally don't like the feel of the Comply tips, but they're not cheap and this just adds to the overall experience of these headphones. They also come with a nice 1/4" plug adapter. Sound (4/5): Like I said above, the sound is really amazing at just about any price. The mids and highs are precise and sound really natural. They have a full field of sound and they don't overcompensate with tinny or crappy sound by throwing a ton of bass at you. In fact the one area where these headphones might be lacking is in the bass department, but I don't listen to a lot of rap or bass heavy art forms so it's not a concern. That said, when you do need bass these are still going to be significantly better than stock headphones, or other sport headphones. The noise isolation is also really solid. I used these on a plane and nearly forgot about the engine noise. Similarly, I took a conference call at the airport with these and it sounded like I was in my office. I have a pair of V-Moda Crossfade over ear headphones and Ultimate Ears 900 monitors and these sound just about as good at a fraction of the cost. Overall Use (5/5): So far I've had these for a couple of months and they've made several business trips (which means being abused during airport security), been used on multiple conference calls at home, the airport and in transit, and they have been used during exercise (both at the gym and running) and have stood up admirably. They're about as durable as you could possibly want, and cheap enough to risk damage. I think the single biggest reason for loving these headphones is that while I truly love the UE 900 and they're clearly a better made headphone with very slightly superior sound, if I had to make the choice I would take the MEElectronics M6 over the UE900 because of the overall bang for your buck. If you're an audiophile or just want the best, take the UE900's otherwise save $200 and give the M6's a try. You won't regret it one bit.

Somewhat Disappointed...
By Nancy Teerman on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2017
Nancy Teerman says: (Change) O.K..O.K..will ya just get off my back...whoops, sorry about that...First things first. My wife Nancy did not have any part in writing this.. O.K...O.K. Let's go... "COME ON MAN-N-N".....For those of you that don't know, them there's football words... Anyhoo, first of all it comes with lots of cool extra stuff that I'm not going to list. When I listened to the "MEElectronics M6-Pro IEM's" ...I was very disappointed I noticed there was a very high pitched shrill noise... that hurt my ears so much that all I wanted to do was yank them out and throw them away. The Bass and Mids on the other hand are full of life from the bottom to the top of the scale in other words there very smooth and well balanced, but, them highs, oh them highs are so high, how high are they? So glad you asked.... It's like when your Mom finds out you broke one of her most prized possession....that's how high. Oh well, are you ready for some positive news?... Good... The M6-PRO sound a lot better after burning them in with "white- noise"...what's that? you say, again I'm glad you asked. I'm sure you older folks remember years ago watching late night TV until you fell asleep on the couch. The next thing you know it's past midnight and the National Anthem is blaring on the TV and wakes you up, so you get up to turn it off. But, just before you get there the Anthem finishes and you hear this annoying noise, you know what I'm talk'n about...Nope... What!.. What do you mean Nope? O.K.O.K.. let me try and explain it this way...ya know in the movie "Poltergeist" when Carol Anne puts her hands on the TV screen and says.. "T-h-e-r-e...H-e-r-e"..that noise that static noise coming from the television set...That's a type of "White Noise".. you younger kids ask your Dad to explain it to ya. Anyhow, I played a type of "white noise" especially made for burning in earbuds through my M6's for about a hundred hours and thank God that it mellowed and smoothed out the shrill harsh noise enough to be able to enjoy them. Now to get back to my point...my point...what was my poin...ohh..yeah, yeah......... For about $8 (I KNOW RIGHT) I purchased a pair of "Monoprice Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earbuds" and the reviews said that they sound "Great",have a flimsy build and there big and bulky and won't stay in your ears. Sure that's all true but with the right tips they will stay in your ears like a bug snug in a rug. A good seal is the most important thing for these buds to sound there best. Even if you have to buy some better tips it's money well spent. Yes Sir, No sooner than I put these babies in...I knew I had something special.(GUESS WHAT? NO BURN IN) That's right kids they sound great right out of the package. These little, well big gems will rival the M6-Pro's and many others BUDS any day of the week...Except on Sunday. I've been listening to them off and on for about a year and they still sound great. So maybe, just maybe, I'll burn in my "M6's" for another hundred hours and see if that will smooth them out even more.(FINGERS CROSSED) Oh yeah, in case you older folks don't know what IEM stands for, it's "In-Ear-Monitors" that's just fancy words for EARBUDS. So if any of you are considering buying the M6-Pro be prepared for a lot of burn in time to make them sound there best...unless your into that shrill, ear piercing kind of noise....not that there's anything wrong with that...Oh, and by the way, I found that "CATFOOD".. no not that stuff ya feed yer cat, it's a great song by the band "KING CRIMSON" for you to test your buds out with. Fe-e-e-w-w... my fingers are about out of breath so I think that's enough babbling for this old man.You decide weather to buy and listen right away or buy and burn before you listen. Better yet get them both and listen while you burn. P.S. If your interested here's a link that tells you all about "white, pink and brown noise, " and where you can download them..."http://www.head-fi.org/t/466827/free-burn-in-files" P.S.S..There was no exaggeration of truth in this review...(SOLELY ONE MAN'S OPINION) God Bless and Buh-Bye, Billy-Joe-Jim-Bob... just don't call me Sue
