Fantastic Stand - Mobility Is Icing On The Cake
By wevsspot on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2017
KANTO MTM65PL - This was a fantastic solution to de-clutter a previous corner style entertainment center that was difficult to move and clean behind. After a recent remodel to our home I hated the idea of putting the old entertainment center back in place, and I just couldn't bring myself to drill holes in recently patched and painted drywall to hang a wall mount or ceiling mount. This Kanto stand truly was the perfect solution for us. The stand itself arrived in great condition. Assembly instructions aren't the most detailed, but all of the part bags were adequately and properly identified, and the larger parts are pretty much self explanatory. Simply following the vague assembly instructions in the guide and having previously watched an assembly video on youtube, the stand went together without any drama. There are a couple steps during the assembly where it was helpful to have another set of hands. We hung a LG 60PA6500 60-Inch plasma TV on the stand. I was a little worried when I ordered the stand because our TV weighs in at 88 to 90lbs according to published specs. (we've never actually weighed the TV), but the Kanto stand holds it like a heavy weight champ. I'm glad that I didn't have to spring for the bigger brother version of this stand. I'm extremely happy with our purchase and would do it all over again without hesitation. The stand is heavy duty, well engineered and constructed and holds our heavy weight plasma TV perfectly. It is also pretty stylish in an industrial contemporary kind of way. I highly recommend this stand and kudos to Amazon Prime for having it on my doorstep in 2 days.

If they fix packing issues it would be a 4

I now have lots of experience with this thing. First time I ordered it a wheel was missing. This was caused by a big torn gash on top of the box, where it fell out somewhere between China and Virginia. The contents are not packed securely and the smaller pieces bounce around in shipping. Any gashes in the box will result in missing parts. I then called the toll free 800 number. You will not get a live person. You leave your name and number, they call back either end of same day or end of next day. This they do, so that is something. Once they talk to you they are very nice and accommodating. They initiated the steps to get me a wheel. The bummer was that they are in Canada, so it takes about 3 weeks to get it. I could now wait, as my tv was already mounted and the unit was dangerously wobbly with 3 wheels. So I ordered another one and did a return on one unit. When the new one came it there was a large gash in the middle of the box. As I dragged it into the house pieces came out of the gash. Between the two units I was able to complete one, and it is now fully built. I returned the other as incomplete. Returns have no catch, there is no money charged or anything , so that is also a plus. One more issue. Each wheel mounts below a metal leg that sticks out some , and has a rubber boot at the end of each leg so people do not cut themselves, etc. Well, if you just look at the stand the wrong way, the boots fall off. Spend two days putting them back on until I had enough. You will need a tube of Eclectic E6000 Adhesive Glue, Industrial Strength, Clear, 237032, 2 fl. oz. It is like 6 dollars. Bonds metal to plastic. Slapped it all over the inside of the boot and some on the metal and problem solved. Will never come off again. Last it is advertised as being adjustable. To this I say somewhat. You need to press two metallic buttons which I was never able to press. I am confident someone with a high pain tolerance and thumbs made of titanium can press the buttons in and then slide the unit up and down. I left it at the highest settings, which is where the picture shows in the posting here. That is still about 5 inches too low if you are using it with a treadmill. Wished it went a little higher. Keeping it, I am not starting this project from scratch. Works good enough. TV was easy to mount by myself s it has two hooks for attaching it. You just dropped it into the mounting plate with the hooks and then take your time securing it with a couple of supplied metal thingies.
