Mounting Dream MD2268-LK Tilt TV Wall Mount Bracket

The price for this mount is absolutely worth it.. just understand you’re going to have to rig it a bit. While the description says this mount supports up to 24” stud placement, modern homes/home additions are built with 16”-on-center stud placement. The mount itself measures 24” in width, so if the studs in your wall are, indeed, 12”-on-center, it may be possible to sink lag bolts through the outer most perforations of the mount. That being said, the center of this mount features an inconvenient steel plate, so it’s not possible to achieve a true center mount. Yes, this design makes way for smaller product packaging, but functionality and ease of installation take a hit. The mounting arms themselves appear to be fabricated unequally. Once I had them locked into place, my TV was unlevel by a little more than an 8th of an inch. To resolve this, I got creative and used shim placed underneath the fixed, upper “clamp” of the sagging mount arm. I also want to share that I did ensure that both mounting arms were exactly level on the back of the TV VESA mount area.
