Excellent Sports in-ear bluetooth headset.

After battling year after year with Beats wireless, Beats 2 , beats whatever ... (they eventually either fall apart or stop working due to 'sweat' despite the product marketed as sports gear). I decided to try another brand. The JayBird BlueBuds X Sport headset is everything I wished for in a sports headset, but more.. Please note I am reviewing based on my only comparison which is years of using Beats products (before and after the Apple acquisition). Battery life: I can get a week or workouts (5 times a week) on one single charge (average 1hr to 1hr 20 minutes each session), this is more than what I wished for. Comfort and fit: these have been designed clearly by someone who participates in sports exercises! once you get the fit right (not east at the beginning as you may have to try a few configs with the loop), and I opted for the over ear setting which I found to hold better than the under ear setting. Only thing I noticed is the ear buds that come with the BlueBuds X Sports tend to slip a bit when they get in contact with sweat. So I went for an aftermarket bud which is a 'memory foam', I don't need to adjust them once. Note: these have stayed in place when performing skip rope exercises, pull-ups, pushups, inverted levers (Calisthenics), boxing.. Sound: not as much bass as the Beats equivalent, but music sounds more true to the source and I prefer to have clarity over exaggerated bass volume. They sound balanced, and reasonable considering audiophile quality is useless in a gym environment anyways. Bluetooth: did not disconnect once, easy to power on and off and automatically pairs each time with my iPhone. I particularly like the audio feedback 'Power-on/off' and 'headphones connected' as opposed to beeps and flashing LEDs to indicate the same. Verdict: so far they are a great step up from the Beats alternatives, and I am yet to find an issue after a couple of months of heavy usage...

Okay sound, but poor fit and comfort
By Ryan Rushton on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2015
Just received these today from Amazon. I spent 90 minutes fiddling with different sized ear tips and ear cushions, then watching videos for under- vs over-ear wear and setting the cord management clips for a perfect fit. Except it's NOT perfect. These simply will not fit my ears. The Jaybirds sound just OK. If I press them deeper into my ear canals with my fingertips, bass response improves significantly, but as soon as I stop applying pressure the buds slip out and the bass disappears. They simply don't compare to my four-year-old Klipsch Image S4i buds. Pairing with my iPhone 5S was quick and reliable and this was the reason I bought the Jaybirds. I've ordered some Comply foam ear tips (T-500) in hopes that they will improve fit and bass response. If not, I'll be returning the earbuds. UPDATE (Feb 16, 2015): My Comply T-500 tips arrived and despite the fact that the package says they are compatible with the BlueBuds X, they don't actually fit on the buds. I'll be returning everything this week. UPDATE (Feb 20, 2015): I managed to get the Comply tips to fit the BlueBuds X. Installation is incredibly tedious, but it can be done. Search "Install Comply T500 Bluebuds" on YouTube for a how-to video. With the Comply foam, the buds are more comfortable and sound quality is improved. They still don't compare to my Klipsch S4i buds, but do offer wireless freedom.
