but still sounds amazing. I own the Klipsch Promedia 2
By Jared on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017
Coming from someone that used to own a 5.1 setup, I decided to downsize my system for the sake of something simplistic. I wanted something that's wireless, smaller, easier to move and setup, but still sounds amazing. I own the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 computer speakers and really really like them and decided to check out Klipsch's S&S (Soundbar and Sub) options. If you already own the Promedia 2.1 computer speakers, imagine that sound quality in an S&S arrangement. I found the R-10B to be the one for me as it was a lot less expensive than the R-20B at the time. I couldn't justify paying $800 for the R-20B even though that was the flagship in the lineup. I kept eyeing the R-10B for about a year and then one day on Amazon I noticed the R-20B was marked for half off its original price. I couldn't believe it. $800 down to $399 (which was the same price as the R-10B that I was initially going to buy). I immediately jumped on the new price (which I expect is due to the new line of S&S out this year). I had a $25 dollar Amazon gift card as well. So the grand total was $375 for me. I could not believe I was getting the top-of-the-line R-20B for less than $400. I quickly purchased it and received it in 2 days (thank you Prime!). Setup was a breeze. Plug in the power cord of the soundbar, plug in the optical audio cable (included), and plug in the subwoofer power cable. That's it. The Subwoofer automatically connects to the soundbar. I know this system doesn't have the HDMI ARC connection, but that does not bother me one bit. I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference in terms of sound quality anyway. This system truly is a work of engineering brillance. I don't know how Klipsch did it, but they made this S&S system sound big and powerful in such a convenient package. I can't believe I am getting that good of sound quality out of this system. The Subwoofer kicks ass. It's built big, hefty, and heavy. Plenty of bass. I have it sitting next to my couch in a corner (about 6-8 inches away from the wall) and I can feel it through the couch. Love it. PROS: -Incredible, highly-detailed sound -Amazing mids, highs, and lows. -Depth of sound. -Crystal clear quality. You hear things that you've never heard before. -Dialogue in movies is pristine. -The bass is substantial for an S&S system (I feel can actually feel the bass, the mighty rumble sitting on my couch) -Ease of use -Easy setup. Good to go out of the box. No adjusting, no fine tuning required. -Remote control is logical and works great -You can program your TV or Satelite remote to control the soundbar -Includes the optical audio cable -The sound quality is incredible for all types of media. From watching Blu-Rays, playing videos games, listening to music, etc. -Another note about the quality. Blu-Rays sound so good. Especially if you're watching an action movie. The clear detail of the soundbar and the thunderous low end of the subwoofer really makes it a treat. Music is amazing with this setup. Any genre sounds great. Seriously. Video games are more immersive now. I played BioShock and heard things that I have never heard before. I also played Alien Isolation late at night. Let me tell you.......with the lights off and the volume turned up, you will jump out of your skin. -Bluetooth functionality! Works flawlessly with my Android phone (Nexus 6P). -Subwoofer connects automatically to the soundbar and works superbly. I have had no issues with it at all. -No wires! You can place the subwoofer anywhere in a room as long as there is a power outlet nearby. -Mounting diagram is included. -No syncing issues whatsoever. CONS: NONE. Seriously. Not a single one. I rarely leave reviews for products, but I just had to for this one. I am that impressed and satisfied with it. Bravo, Klipsch. Bravo! I knew I could not go wrong with this setup! I have owned this for approximately 6 months now and have had no issues. I could not be happier.

Sounds amazing but terrible remote and poor lifespan
By Joseph A Natalizio on Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2018
I’ve had this for about a month now. This system is very easy to set up. Connects easily to Bluetooth with iPhone or Alexa echo dot. Sounds amazing. We have a large living room with high ceilings and this system is perfect. The bass will shake the whole house if you turn it up even half way. Very impressed with the quality. The only negative I have to say is that the remote is utterly useless. For such an awesome sounding product that obviously was well designed, I find it absurd that the remote was so poorly designed. Unless you are standing within 5 ft and exactly level with the receiver sound bar, it DOES NOT work. If the remote worked, I’d give this product 5 stars. I bought a replacement remote, hoping that it will work better. I’ve read other reviews that have the same complaint and have had luck replacing the remote with a different model of remote. I’m hoping this fixes my gripe. Update: after just under 3 years of light use, the source can’t be switched to the TV. Sound bar powers on, but I can’t get it to connect and play sound. My phone can recognize it and says it’s connected, but there is no sound from the speaker. I’d expect the longevity to be better.
