Finally a cable for professional use!!! Works great with Otter case.
By capt'n caffeine on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2015
I'm not one to glow over inanimate objects, but this cable is a winner! As a musician who heavily uses an iPad for all my charts and scores, I've been through tons of wimpy inferior cables that either don't last, or simply deteriorate over time. This cable feels like a pro AV cable. In the past, my plugged-in iPad3 would never make it through an entire show with more than 50% power remaining, or worse: stop charging all together. With the iXCC I've been pleasantly surprised to find my iPad fully charged at the end of the gig - that was a "duh" moment for me; I'm so used to bad cables I almost forgot that's how they're supposed to work!Besides being thick and substantial, the ends have strain reliefs as well. I saw some of the other negative reviews, so only time will tell. I suspect those users are pulling the cable out by `the cable' instead of by the plug. Any cable will eventually break being used that way. Though the cable is thick, it still has the right amount of flexibility. Used on several shows over the last month, it's held up great.I'm using the iXCC with an Otter case for iPad 3 with zero problems. My only quibble: the logo is on the "wrong" side on the 30 pin end plug. No big deal, and easily remedied with a sharpie or sticker. 10 ft length is just right: it allows me to snake it around stands and things, and is long enough to loop over a grand piano frame and still be unobtrusive.I liked the cable so much I'm planing on buying a backup, as well as the iphone5 lightning plug version as well. I used to think being "Apple certified" was a ploy to charge more for a cable, but it indeed makes a difference when it comes to charging correctly. I've no affiliation with this company, and this was an unsolicited review (though I'll take some cables in exchange for review anytime!).

Poor Product. Fails.
By Robert Nakai on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2015
The cord works fine and I wanted the extra length. Most are only three feet. The only issue encountered is the cord is not as flexible as I would like. There were several occasions where the pin came disengaged and did not charge as a corner of the plug pulled out. The stiffness of the cord also makes it difficult to roll up for travel. But it works and provided the length I wanted.Update: 8/17: I am lowering my review due to the fact that the cord is defective and no longer charges. My belief is that the cord is too firm and not flexible. I continued to have problems of it coming out. The pin does not lock will on my iPad. Even holding it and trying to make it charge, it did not charge. I had to go to Best Buy and purchase a standard Apple cord. There was no problem with the charger or iPad. The cord failed. Sorry, i thought the length would work. The cord does not work so I cannot recommend it.
