Wake up to your own music
By Jason L on Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2021
I've had this unit for 3 years and 8 months. In that time, it has performed spectacularly. Previous to this, I had purchased several bluetooth alarm clocks only to find each time that they were not able to play my music to wake me up (only alarm or radio). Alarm sirens are harsh and radio has too many commercials. In desperation, I finally turned to an older technology, the CD player. This does exactly what I wanted, it wakes me up with my own music. The way to program the unit is not the most intuitive but it's not complicated and once you got it, it becomes easy. I love that it has two alarms, you can have one alarm for each spouse or a backup alarm for yourself. You can set the two alarms to do different things at different volumes, any combination of CD, radio, and alarm-sound. I would never listen to music on this but it's perfectly acceptable for what it needs to do. It sounds exactly how I expected it to, given its size and price. There is distortion at high volumes but you shouldn't be turning this up that loud anyway. It would have been nice to be able to choose which CD track the alarm plays, it always starts on the first track, but that's probably asking for too much. Overall, I'm very happy with this unit and it's still working at 100% after nearly 4 years. Pros: + Wake up to your own music + Backup alarm + Backup battery Cons: - Initially unintuitive - Distortion at high volumes

Just flush your money down the toilet and save yourself the aggravation!
By Prisoner Of Hope on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2015
I wanted to be able to listen to CDs in my bedroom, so I decided a clock radio with a CD player was the way to go. I admit, I did see that the reviews for this one weren't very good, but upon reading them it seemed that the problem was with missing instructions...and a reviewer was kind enough to look for them elsewhere and posted them, so I thought I'd give it a try. BIG mistake! Not only are the instructions (even the missing ones that the reviewer provided) confusing, but there is NOTHING intuitive about this piece of junk. In the past I've gotten clock radios and used them out of the box without reading the instructions at all since the buttons were all clearly marked, but with this thing you have to press multiple buttons for even simple functions, some have odd labels on them that - unless you reference the "instructions" - will leave you guessing at what they're for, some functions work only in standby mode and others not...what a PITA! I gave a passing thought to keeping it just for the CD player...but I couldn't get it to play them at all. I sent this garbage back to Amazon and found a nice clock radio with CD player in Walmart for $25 that's easy to use and also has the recharging feature that I can use for my phone or Kindle.
