Mind to insert these type of headphones in correctly to achieve best comfort, isolation and sound quality.

I am very surprised by the great value these offer. Sound quality is easily great, with just the right amount of bass which makes the music sound natural. I have chosen them because I knew they have right-angled jack and a tiny one at that which is convenient when used with laptop in bed as you are less likely to bend / damage it. I was not expecting them sounding this well too. And the comfort is exemplary. To achieve and really enjoy the best comfort and especially sound quality of these, remember that there is a certain right way to insert these type of in-ear phones and it really makes huge difference. You have to use you opposite hand overhead and pull your ear lobe up so you create bigger opening into you ear canal and then insert the earphone in. Only this way you will achieve best sound isolation, quality and best comfort.

Acceptable but not great.

I previously bought the model that these replaced. But these don't sound as good. They sound distorted. Still testing to see if this distortion is real or imagined. Seems to me the previous model was much better. They are, however, comfortable and do a good job do isolating ambient sound. Also the previous model had a little plastics nib on the left phone letting you know which was right and which was left if you didn't have enough light to read markings. This nib is missing on this model. Too bad. That was a useful feature. Seems all manufacturers these days are constantly removing useful features and either replacing them with non-useful features, different features I don't use room leaving the feature Out altogether. STOP THAT!!!! (Rant over). I don't think I'd buy these again. Will look for a different model but still in the Sony line because I've had overall good experience with Sony headphones of all makes and models. This is the first one I've been disappointed with.
