Fantastic Sound, Awesome Build...Highly Recommend...
By icedmocha on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2014
I recently purchased a pair of these Onkyo headphones after doing a good bit of research, including trying a lot of pairs in-person. Overall, I'd have to say they sound fantastic - I'm comparing their sound to a lot of well regarded and popular headphones, such as the B&W P5, Sennheiser Momentum, TMA-1 Studio, and Ultimate Ears 6000...all of which I liked a lot. I've played a lot of songs through these in the past few days, ranging from classical to pop to rock, and these have performed really really well. I'm hearing many subtle details that were never there before, while the base is always punchy but never overdone.Looks and build quality are really, really nice. The headphones look classy and feel hefty but are pretty lightweight. The cups are made of aluminum which adds a nice, premium feel and probably makes up most of the heft. From a fit perspective, these actually fit over my ears, rather than on them, and the foam is quite comfortable. Folks with larger ears might find these to be true on-ears, or they might press on the edges of your ears. For me, the pressure was fine, definitely no complaints. The cups themselves rotate nicely and smoothly - no creaking or rattling here. There's just enough padding on the headband but as the product images show, it's not overly cushioned. The cables take a little more pressure to attach than you'd think, but the connectors are nice and feel like they'll stay jiggle-free, unlike a lot of 3.5 mm connections that other headphones use.Packaging...the headphones come nicely packaged in a slim, black cardboard box. Inside, they're well protected in a plastic carrier, and include just the cables and a soft black leatherette carry pouch.Useful Reference Reviews (external links):[...][...]One minor point - the 3.5mm jack supplied with the cable isn't super-slim. It doesn't quite fit into the headphone cutout on my Spigen iPhone 5 case (Neo Hybrid). Folks with slim headphone cutouts - you might also need to pick up a slim cable extender, or a new case...

Sounds good. Cables could be better. Would not buy again.
