JBuds How I Love Thee, Let Me Count The Ways... ;)
By Ryan on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2016
I stumbled across these a couple years ago in Staples marked down for clearance. I thought I would give them a try. I tested them in my car and liked them and went immediately back inside the store and bought the other (last) pair. Here's why you want these. First, the sound is great. I'm sure they aren't as good at $200 ear buds, which I don't think I'll ever buy because I'm always misplacing my earbuds. But really, the sound is great. And the volume is good too, by which I mean that if you swap these in with another pair, the sound will be louder for the same setting on your device. But not distorted (like when you turn a standard car stereo all the way up and it sounds like crap...) Second, you bend these to fit your ear, so when you get it dialed in (yes, it will take a bit of adjusting) they hold themselves in place. I don't go running in them, and I've never tried playing tackle football with them, but for walking around the house, or like me, up and down three flights of stairs for laundry, or even at work...they are great. I love using them for taking calls while shopping too. Third, they give you like a bazillion ear pieces (disclosure: only 6 pairs) so if you have weird shaped ears, you can mix or match to get the perfect fit. And good fit is important to help block outside noise... Fourth, they are WASHABLE!!! Ok, they aren't recommended to be washed. But if you do, they will still work. No, really...it was why I bought my first pair...Fifth, they are in two pieces! Maybe this should be the first feature! Let me explain. So normally, after you plug in and pull out, the plug breaks just where the wire begins. You know where I mean. And then you start doing strange stuff to keep them working because you love your favorite earbuds, right? And then one day you're walking in a store, holding your phone upside down and half at a diagonal with one hand while you're pushing a cart with that bad wheel that you always get with the other, and then you see this hot girl. Man, she's an 12 on a 10 scale. But she's frowning? Oh yeah, cause you look like a dork trying to use your broken earbuds! Won't happen with these. The earpieces and mic end in a female plug, just like your audio device has. And JLab gives you, not ONE, but TWO audio cords to plug into the headphones, and your device. One cord is short, the other is longer, so you pick the one you need. I go back and forth. But here's the genius: it's a standard audio cord! So if the cord breaks (I haven't had one break yet from JLab), you can use the other, or buy an off the shelf replacement anywhere! So all the "wear and tear" is on the "disposable" audio wire! Why someone else didn't think of this before, I don't know. It's brilliant! Actually, I guess having two cords would actually count as the Sixth feature. There is one drawback though, that's important. I'm hooked. I can't go back to other earbuds now. Curse you JLabs, you've ruined me for other earbuds! That's why I bought two pair. And wonderfully, after they both arrived...one of the original pairs I bought was found in the pocket of a winter coat I don't wear often! Ahhhhh. So go order 2 pair. Because it will drive you nuts waiting for a replacement pair if you lose the first one.OMG. I just read several of the horrible reviews. Let me add a bit more:I store these by rolling up the cord and sort of crushing the earbuds, then shoving them in my shirt of jacket pocket. If I put them in my pants pocket, when I pull them out, the silicone tips pull off. But they stay on just fine in my shirt or jacket pocket.I use these doing non-exercise activity, but I do work in them, crawling on my knees, climbing on top of stuff (no desk jockey here). Never had a problem, except if I drop my phone.I'm glad the wire isn't too stiff...if I catch the cord on something, I'd like my ears to stay attached. If it was stiffer, I might hurt my ears.Sound quality was good from day one, and, like I said before, I had my older pair (same as these) for nearly 2 years. Of course the first pair was lost around the one year mark, so technically I only know they work for a year. But for the low price I paid, I'm not complaining. I've paid more for crappier pairs that sounded horrible and I've paid the same for pairs that were great but broke in a few weeks. Maybe I got lucky with my TWO pairs, but the 3rd that I just got has been working fine for like a month now, and I use them daily.Ear comfort. Well, this is subjective, right? Like socks or underwear or (so I hear) bras. But the silicone tips they provide fit pretty good for me. If I had to, I would mix the sizes if that was what it took. I have a friend who has tiny ears and she struggles to find stuff small enough, she has to special order things. But for 85% of people, I think these will fit pretty well. And a final note, I have worn these continuously for 6+ hours at work, working. No problems except my ears were glad when I took them out.Of course, YMMV, this is just my opinion. But I love these earbuds. Get a pair, I think you will too.

Purchased these earbuds on July 14, 2013. On Oct 10, 2013 the right Earbud stopped working. I did not even get 3 full months of use out of the Earbuds. I continue to search for a quality set of Earbuds that are durable, comfortable, and have quality sound. The search continues....Update: Oct 30, 2013Kudos to JLab Customer Support team! The JLab Customer Support team responded to my earlier review, posted on Oct 14, 2013. They suggested that my experience with the earbuds was most likely due to having defective JLab Fit Sport Earbuds. They promised to replace the earbuds. I received the new earbuds today. Thank you for delivering on your promise and the great customer service. Now, I will put these earbuds to the test and report back. So excited because I really enjoyed the fit and sound quality. Happy running!
