Good choice for those who hate earbuds, exercising
By HoiPolloi on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2020
Great design -- long-wearing comfort, decent sound, and they simply will not fall off. This hang-on-outer-ear design is the only headphone design that can be worn for hours and hours in comfort. They don't jam into your ear canal or hang in the inner ear. These are NOT noise cancelling and this is a feature -- you can still hear a bit of what is happening around you. They are ideal for outdoor exercising like running. Sound quality is good but not great. The low-end is merely adequate. Because they allow in some ambient noise, the peak volume doesn't seem that high. Incidentally, its a mystery why this design is not more popular. Sony used to make a simpler version of these that they inexplicably stopped making about a decade ago, and Phillips has a similar design that are now also hard to come by.

They sound good and stay in, but have 1 design flaw.

Pros: They stay on/in while jogging They stay on/in while cycling They are comfortable The sound quality is pretty decent Cons: They break- if you accidentally tug the cable a little while jogging, since the earpieces are attached so snuggly to your ears, rather than ripping the earbuds out, all the pressure is applied to where the wire connects to the earbud, and when it gets pulled, the volume/output drops to about 35% of what it is when first purchased. I have had to buy 4 pairs of these and 2 of them have had this happen. So be careful you don't pull on the wire even gently, because there is no way to fix it once it's pulled, and then you have headphones that even on full blast you can barely hear. If Sony would make the next model resolve this problem they could have 5 stars. These are only $20 but I would pay more if they would stop breaking.
