Musical Wonderland
By kickguru on Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2015
Firstly, I'm an avid listener to various genre's of music. For example some tastes span from the artist who created these, 50 Cent, to Bach and Tchaikovsky and everything in between. Though, most of the time it may be R&B or Hip - Hop. These headphones seem to handle them all well. I listened to some pop music earlier this morning and was amazed at the responsiveness of the headphones and the balance of bass and clarity. The sound quality is comparable to a good pair of DJ headphones. I owned a pair that I used for mixing and never found anything similar in sound quality until now. The only difference between those and these Street by 50 headphones is the others had completely flat audio. In my case I needed flat audio for the mixing I was doing. The STREET by 50's are tuned very well and produce low tones and bass well. That's something I've lacked over the years when trying other headphone brands(from cheap to more expensive). No these are not active noise canceling although they do sell a model with that feature. I like the passive noise canceling because I do like to block out some of the background noise but I still like to be aware of my surroundings if you know what I mean. The headphones are comfortable for me and I wear glasses. I've worn them for hours on end and found the only time they hurt were when I didn't position them correctly on my ears. Depending on how your ear is shaped you will have to play around with were to place the headphones exactly. That's typical of any on ear headphones unless you're using over ear headphones (specifically designed to go over the entire ear). Also make sure to expand the bands. Some people tend to just throw headphones on without adjusting them for a comfortable fit. That can cause unnecessary stress not only on your head but on the headphones also. The build quality is nice and sturdy. It's a plastic but it doesn't feel cheap. (Like it will break any second.) I've held and listened to Beats and I see why they break all the time. A gaming headphone company seems to use the same cheap plastic and it's notorious for breaking and snapping. I truly researched headphones and after all the reviews from various vendors I chose to go with the STREET's. The STREET's didn't break my budget and seemed like a good stepping stone until I'm ready for a more high priced pair. The STREET's are flexible and with the audio cable you get a carrying case and cleaning cloth. For the price and the packaging it's a very good deal. If you ever see these on sale DO NOT hesitate to buy them. The look is also amazing. The picture for the blue pair is not accurate at all. They have an off color looking blue and they look nothing like that in reality. If you want true pictures of the colors go to SMS Audio's website. Also I bought these from a authorized dealer that's listed on the SMS Audio site through Amazon. You may want to consider that when purchasing as some have reported receiving fake headphones. Lastly I have been basking in a musical wonderland since I got these. Merry Christmas to me!

The sound and mic quality is good. It works with my Android phone too

I got these for about $30, so cannot beat that. The headphones are well made. The sound and mic quality is good. It works with my Android phone too. My primary complaint is that it does put a lot of pressure on my ears. I cannot wear them for more than an hour. In hindsight, should have gone for around ear headphones. Also note, the color is quite a bit darker than what the picture shows.
