Great Projector
By Kindle Customer on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2013
The color is bright and can be seen in full light, but of course looks much better in the dark. I've watched dvd movies, Blu-ray movies, and Netflix over this device. The picture quality is great and can be used in a small room or a very large one. As for sound the sound for dvds is great. I watched a musical and it sounded really good. Sound over Blu-rays and Netflix seemed brassy. We added a VM audio system bought on Amazon for 86 and it helped, but if we're watching a dvd we don't need to use it. The 2D to 3D works pretty well, especially for scenes meant to be seen in 3D, but we haven't been able to play full 3D movies, because our sony 3D player sucks and will not realize it is connected to a 3D player, we had it connected to a converter box and 3D TV, it didn't work and still does work. DLP Active shutter glasses are what you need, just look up vivitek and DLP glasses and about three or four options will come up. We bought the deep blue ones for 19.99 and they work well.

Save Your hearing
By Chuck2017 on Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2017
I have owned projector for a couple years. Picture is great etc, my complaint is that Vivitek projectors have very loud fans. Plan on switching back to Optoma for my hearing! Optoma noise levels are usually 24-26. Vivitek is usually around 32 and gets way worse with projector age.
