Great headphones for their price!
By amcolash on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2013
Well, when I decided to purchase this product yet another pair of earbuds had failed me. I have only had one other pair of over-the-ear headphones before. The other pair I had that I had gotten years earlier were Skullcandy ones and were absolutely horrible (bad quality, cheap, and hurt like hell). I was so surprised that for the same amount of money I got something so great from this product! I will break this down so it is a bit easier to read.Good:-- Bluetooth: This was the main reason I got them. Very rarely will the audio cut for a moment, and this is usually when they are out of range. On most days when my laptop or phone playing music or a movie is close, they will not stop or cut out even once! The bluetooth works amazingly well.-- Sound: These things really can kick some bass, while preserving most of the mids as well. The highs are lost a bit, but overall these things are great if you do not listen to music with a huge range of frequencies. Overall, I would say that they sound very similar to other audio products (earbuds and headphones) in the price range.-- Battery: I was shocked how well the battery has lasted thus far. I use these things relatively often and they have only had 3/4 charges in the almost 2 months that I have had them. I am not entirely sure of the life of them, but it seems at least 12-15 hours.-- Cable when battery dies: This is one of the coolest and best parts of these bluetooth headphones. Most other ones I saw in this range did not have this feature, but it is quite nice when you are sitting at a laptop and don't need bluetooth, or your batteries have died.-- Controls: While the controls are a bit confusing at first, these are also quite great and have worked pretty well for me. The one thing to remember is that they only work with bluetooth, but since I rarely do not use the bluetooth, this is not a problem for me.-- Ear pads: The ear pads that come with the headphones are actually quite comfortable since they are a pleather-like material. Quite cushy and not too much pressure on my ears (though it did take a bit to get used to).Not so great:-- Microphone: These headphones are not a bluetooth headset. Let me make this clear, they are headphones with a microphone. If you want a bluetooth headset, buy one of those. The microphone is almost like putting a phone on speakerphone. Everything can be heard and it is not the best in noisy areas. If you are however doing yard work and someone calls, then this is a perfect time to use it. Siri also works for me when I use my iPhone. Overall, just a nice extra.-- Charging, etc: The given cable that charges these headphones is a usb to 3.5mm jack. Very odd, and I doubt it is very easy to come by another. Replacement may be a problem in the future... The other thing I did not like was that there was no AC adapter. Since I have an extra AC to usb adapter this also was not a problem, but definitely something to consider getting because otherwise you need a usb port of some sort to charge these things.-- Feel: While this is one of the first sets of over-ear-headphones that I have bought, they were definitely not the most comfortable either. I have actually stretched the band a bit and this has made them far more comfortable. Before this they started hurting my head because they were squeezing me. After adjusting and such, they have felt better, but they are no $300+ BOSE that you try out at best buy.-- Sound Leaking: While this is expected to a certain extent with this type of headphone, there is actually a little bit more than I was expecting in terms of leakage. These definitely are not noise canceling in any way. While they can go relatively loud, they do not seal out the world either. All in all, I absolutely love these things! They have a few things that could be changed to make them better, but for the $45 I paid, it was 100% worth every penny. I really like these and would recommend these if you want bluetooth headphones that will not break the bank.

Might be just the thing for some people.

Here's the review in a nutshell... I ordered these primarily because the manufacturer eludes to the idea that they are "noise canceling" in their product description. Not even close. Since they sit on the ear and not over the ear you get no noise reduction at all. The cups are comfortable on the ear but like all other on the ear cups that are not good leather, eventually they will become uncomfortable. For me that was about one and a half hours. The controls are pretty simple and easy to use and allow you to adjust the volume, skip tracks, and pause and play. The sound quality is decent but with moderate volume, the on ear cups "leak" sound and any one close to you will hear this. While most headphones use a micro HDMI cord to charge the battery, like most cell phones use today, the charging cord is proprietary for these headphones, which could be a problem if you misplace the charging cord.Final tally; If your looking for a reasonable price for over the ear (on the ear) headphones, these will probably do what you want. They are quick to connect via BlueTooth and small enough to carry them along with you, just not on a flight as these will not remove aircraft engine noise. I currently use Bose A22 BlueTooth headphones and as a pilot I use a Bose Pro series headset. I returned these simply because they offer no noise reduction as is stated on Amazon's web site. I'm still looking for a decent pair of noise canceling BlueTooth headphones and no, Bose does not offer noise canceling BlueTooth headphones.
