Great Value: Rediscover Your Old Vinyl

I received this record player for Christmas and it has met and exceeded my expectations. It is a great value and with care should last many years. The joy of rediscovering my records and introducing my kids to some old 78's that I have was wonderful. The speakers aren't bad or you can plug it into some modern speakers to improve the sound.

What a disappointment!

This unit worked well on a handful of vinyl tunes but then, when playing both LPs and 45s over the course of an afternoon, the rpm started fluctuating. It would slow down, return to the correct speed, slow down some more, again return to the correct speed, slow down, etc., etc. All these speed variations can really ruin a record-listening experience. Also, the turntable stopped more than once before reaching the end of the record, for no apparent reason. It didn't matter whether I had the turntable set on "auto stop" or not. I've returned this item for a refund and plan on shopping for a better-quality record player.
