Light, Dependable, and Incredibly Convenient
By Marcus on Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2013
I'm a musician studying music production. I lugged this around and used it almost daily last semester with my laptop and grew to love it. Hated the action at first (I'm a pianist; other instrumentalists may not mind so much) but I'm way over it. The Microkey37 suits my purposes very well. Debated between this and the M-Audio Keystation Mini 32. So glad I went with the Korg. Those extra 5 keys have made a big difference for me. Besides, I watched video reviews for both products, and the Korg seems more durable. The Mini 32 bends (not as in pitch bend, but rather the entire keyboard flexes when stressed). They Korg seems much more solid. The extra USB ports are super helpful. No sustain pedal jack--bummer. But copy and paste the following for instructions on how to add one: [...] I ordered the Gator GK-2110 case. The keyboard fits just right width wise, thanks to the case's flexibility. Although it takes up the width of the case, it only takes up half the height. Perfect! My Mbox2 Mini, full size mac keyboard, and mouse fit nicely in the other half. It's all really a dream come true. Sound a little excessive? Well, for someone who's obsessive (OCD), it's really nice to have all that power and convenience stored in one case. All the components are light and so's the case. Best. Portability. EVER. I can rely on this thing for operating Sibelius and Protools on the go. Hasn't let me down yet. I LOVE IT. Highly recommend it. Thank you, Korg! Woo-hoo! WELL worth the dinero.

Stopped working after 6 months
By Al on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2014
I bought this 6 months ago and it worked fine. Small enough to leave on my desk and perfect for working out ideas in Reaper. A few weeks ago I noticed that it sometimes ignored key presses. Like every 4th note I tried to play it wouldn't respond. Now it will stop working completely while I'm in the middle of recording. I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in again, tried different usb ports. Sometimes it will work again (for a while), sometimes it doesn't. Obviously this is very frustrating, and a huge waste of time that could be spent writing songs. I'm trying to contact Korg support, hoping to get a replacement or refund. They don't make it easy. I can't find any contact info on their website, only driver and manual downloads. I registered the product, but haven't gotten an email back from them yet.
