it's a beast but a great beast

I finally had to let my old cd alarm clock that was over 15 years old die. I find it hard to commit to new products, as I tend to keep them forever. So my search for a new bedside alarm clock began in February of this year. I knew I would not succumb to the ihome products particularly with Apple moving away the 30 pin chargers (so what's up with that anyway). I also detest those clocks with the gradual wake thing; I can set my own volume to wake up to, thank you. Additionally, my husband does have an ihome and it impossible to figure out how to work it. Thus I began my search. I found a clock from homedics with wonderful nature sounds to wake up. But its surface of the sun brightness and unit lightness forced every operation on the clock to be a two handed deal in order to not knock it over. My old alarm clock was a chunky cube but durable and easy for a one handed hit on the snooze (my favorite button on any alarm clock). Then I found this iCraig and measured it and saw the weight of it and jumped in. I just got it last night and it was a breeze to program. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS ALARM CLOCK. It is a beast, it is not design for those itty, bitty bedside tables but for my huge nightstand it is great! And this thing ain't moving. My cat could easily climb on it and over it without any harm. I won't knock it anywhere and the one handed snooze is easy. The amber display is a nice brightness but it does have a dimmer which is great too. I even woke to my ipod (5th gen) this morning without any problems. The sound is great quality and can be quite loud if desired. The alarm clock also has 20 presets available for radio stations, I mean, how cool is that! I don't even know 20 radio stations. So if you want an alarm clock with weight and fabulous features GET THIS CLOCK. I have one note about the Amazon description stating "Color LED (Green/Red/Orange) clock display"; I don't know about anyone else but mine only has the orange or amber (as Craig calls it) display and no options (the Craig website only lists one color option). It isn't a big deal but would have made a great alarm clock even more awesome. I realize this is my first night with this baby so if something heinous happens, I will let you know. But today is beautiful and this iCraig dual alarm ipod/radio clock ROCKS!

Help Please
By jun@0212 on Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2013
I like the sound of the unit. The iPod plays and charges. When I set the alarm it worked using the iPod which is what I wanted. I have two questions and I am hoping someone will help. I checked the internet and the Craig site and I cannot get any answers. When I set the time I can change the hour and minute by pushing the mem/set button but I cannot get the two center dots (not sure what they are called) to stop blinking. Nothing I do will make them stop blinking. I also cannot get the LED to display anything except orange. I need it to be red. The instruction manual does not address either of these issues. I have been playing with this for two hours. If I cannot get these two things fixed I will have to return it and I do not want to.
