I really love this TV. This is my first flat screen TV. I did a lot of homework before zeroing on this TV. I purchased it based on the following features: - It is a smart HDTV, LED - 60Hz and this year's model available at considerably better price as compared to even last year models with similar features. Though, I would have been very happy if I could have closed the deal at $ 650 :-p I did see the earlier reviews for this TV but most seemed like user training issues. The sound/picture quality is excellent. Picture quality will seem dull with the eco friendly setting of Standard. However, it is configurable per your liking and the user manual is very effective in identifying and setting up your needs. 3 HDMI + 2 USB available Setting up Network/WI FI is also very easy. Depending on Internet speed, the smart TV works good. Youtube videos does not stream so fast for me directly through the TV but when I connect to my laptop through HDMI, it just works fine. Movies through Netflix are great. No 3D but I did not want it. The LED TV comparison chart that Amazon provides is very helpful in determining what features you need and what you do not need. The Kids stories is very useful for my 3 yr old son. Recently saw our first 1080p HD movie "Journey to the center of the earth" and it was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Movie files with .vob,.avi and .wmv works perfect. I have not tried others yet. Even, if some do not work, there are many sites where we have converters available. So this is not a big deal too. On the whole, it is a great TV with very good features. Its a good tradeoff between the basic models this year and the higher end versions which made it attractive for me. I did not have to settle for a lower less feature version nor wanted to go for umpteen number of features with a higher version costing above 1000 bucks.

Excellent TV only if you are lucky enough to have one without any issue

This TV is really goo in terms of Picture Quality, clarity, contrast, colors etc. Don't have any complaints with this model. The problems i observed with this series of TV's are the same as experienced by other users and after few exchange of TV via samsung i observed that these issues are quality control related..... 1. In first set i got dead pixels which were only visible from 6 to 10 inch of the screen, ofcourse no one watch from that closer but hey i paid for perfect condition brand new TV then why should i take one with defect. Best way to check dead pixel is to connect laptop, open browser in fullscreen by pressing F11 and then notice pixels closely throughout the screen by having background color as BLACK, WHITE, RED, BLUE and GREEN. reason of trying with all colors is sometimes these dead pixels only visible on specific color background 2. After warrenty repair still dead pixels were there as instead of changing screen they replace the complete motherboard/circuit of the TV. No issues as i can again send it for repair under warranty :( and wait for 2 to 3 weeks to receive the repaired TV back with issue still exists. Don't lough its true'the repaired TV i got was now not having the dead pixel but one more defect..... Connect coaxial cable from your TV box to TV open any channel and go to the menu of TV under settings theres option called caption ON/OFF (Menu of the TV remote not the cable box) and then see the creen it will be filled with some special characters running on whole screen they looks like something which i can't even type but they are computer coding characters which won't allow you to have glimpse of picture you are intended to watch. one more defect :-( it was when you play Netflix it wont play any movie and keep displaying error message we are having trouble connecting please try again later untill you keep pressing OK button for at least 10 times. 3. So here come's my replacement TV from Samsung with at least the dead pixel was not there as it was replacement not repair and also Netflix working fast (i compared using netflix on both TVs together in hand before returning older one) but still with Caption issue i told in step 2 above still exists After having so much trouble and wait time for TV and then headache to send TV by dropping to UPS as they don't do home repair for 32 inch TV, i decided to keep it with caption issue existing as it only happens while watching cable box and then too by using samsung TV's caption option. I can still use cable box caption option enable and watch everything perfectly. Overall this TV is best in its class in terms of features it provide, really cheap as compare to other brands,, Also Its the smart TV which support applications to watch VUDU or HULU or facebook etc. As i said in review heading TV is good if you are lucky enough to have one without these quality control related Samsung issues otherwise all the very best with Samsung warranty support. I went through this lengthy cycle/hassle as i just crossed the amazon return period before i discovered first issue in my TV and i ended up going through warranty. Samsung - If you are reading this, please improve your quality control methods before delivering the products to consumer. I know you are the largest LCD/LED panel manufacturer in the market and first in the market to introduce next generation panels for the TV. I also know dead pixels are common in TV's and most manufacturer even don't cover them under warranty until they are large enough in number to bother your watching experience. but I'll still suggest to have better customer feedback and quality product manufacturer brand in your bucket, you need to be little ahead in the mkt trends. why to deliver the panel to consumer if you know its faulty and just wait for the complain until customer discovers and if not then you saved small bucks as customer don't even know he has dead pixel. Buyers - Please check your screen Panel thoroughly within return period of Amazon to have screen without dead pixels. there are plenty of googled articles to explain how to check them easy enough.
