Pyle 15" 1400W Powered 2-Way Full Range PA Speaker

My wife is a Zumba teacher and I bought this amplified speaker for her to use with her classes. It was a gift, so I researched all the various options and offering available, then selected this system from Pyle. The 15 woofer delivers resounding Bass, and the tweeter provides crystal clear treble. The speaker can be turned up to a very high volume, able to well cover an area the size of a standard high school gymnasium or a bit larger. If you are fans of the campy movie "Spinal Tap" ... then understand that this speaker, "goes to 11"! It has three adjustable inputs (XLR, .25 jack, and RCA for mikes, instruments, and playback devices), including a built in MP3 player (from SD card or USB device) as well as an iPod dock that will charge and play all versions of the Apple iPod. We have used both the Nano and the Classic with no problems. It features a small equalizer for the MP3/USB input, and a master Treble and Bass adjustment. Also has line out so you can stack a second amplified speaker if desired.The unit is lightweight for the power it produces, and is easily transported. We also bought a speaker stand (gets those rear mounted controls up of the floor, and helps push the sound further) as well as a mike and mike stand for addressing the group, holding Zumbathon raffles, etc. All of my wife's Zumba instructor friends now want one ... speaker envy! It also works well when we are having cookouts, or tailgating (where we have electricity from our small generator). Could be used for karaoke too, or a small dance party (15 - 20 couples).
