Good beginner microphone for the price
By Khumara K. on Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2015
I bought this Microphone sometime ago (Don't remember the exact time) and it has withstood a ton. I have dropped it, hit it, spilled stuff on it, it has withstood a lot, although, the tri-stand it has started breaking a while ago, the stand didn't last 2 months, a leg became loose, another snapped/ Going into the actual microphone and its accessories; The cord it came with is very durable and strong, it doesn't fit perfectly into the back, many times I have had it fall out without doing anything myself. The microphone sounds very clear and crisp. If you get to close it can easily become distorted, but as long as you a decent distance away, it is fine. It picks up background noise VERY easily, so if you are using this to record, but have a loud/busy house, this is not a good option. I use/used it to conduct skype interviews for a volunteer position at a gaming company, it was very useful for that, people heard me well, and were able to understand the questions. One downside is that it is a little bulky, and has an awkward shape, so my hand can easily hit it, and with the shape, it gets a little annoying as the stand takes up more room than other things I have on my desk, so I am not really able to fit much on my desk. All and all, this is a good microphone for a good price. However, I would not recommend this to someone who is able to pay a little more for a better mic, as this is good for someone starting out, doing something like Youtube or recording, this is a beginners mic. Also, I would like to make sure people know the different between the iCE and the Snowball. The iCE does not have the sound switch the Snowball does, and the stand is a cheaper material on the iCE than it is the snowball. Thanks for reading my review!
