Excellent

Very nice bag, but full disclosure, I'm not using it as a photo bag, I'm using it to carry manuals and an iPad for work. That said, the bag is exactly as described, seems rugged and all the pockets are working well. It is true that when carrying from the top handle (as opposed to the shoulder strap) the ends of the main compartment are a bit exposed should you be in wet weather, but I'm happy

Broke in first week of use
By Mr. Photo Dude on Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2014
Within a week of getting this bag the latch on the strap broke. I had to use a clip to hold the strap to the bag. Plus, the black enamel wore off in that week. This was a big problem because I was out of the country. Next time I will test a bag longer before departing. I've had lots of bags over the years and used them in much demanding circumstances. I noticed the the latches were of lower quality than my other Tenba. The material is slick and soft compared to the typical Tenba messenger bag, which some may like better or worse. It definitely didn't feel durable compared to their regular bags. The zippered opening on top that works so well on the large messenger isn't wide enough to easily slip cameras in and out. I use the sly zippered top a lot on the large bag, but it was practically useless on this bag. I was shooting with a Nikon V1, which is a mirrorless camera and not a large DSLR.The only problem I had with the regular large messenger is the soft, breathable backing wears down pretty easily. So I don't think of Tenba as high-end quality. I've gotten much better use out of my Domke, but Tenba wins on setting up pockets and keeping things from falling out.If you want a messenger style bag like this I'd look at Tenba's regular series that comes in different sizes, or look at the Think Tank line, such as the entry-level Mirrorless Movers or the rugged but heavy Retrospective line from Think Tank. But if you want the Tenba style with a sleek look, its DNA line deserves a look over this bag.
