The search is over! I have finally found a mouse for gamers with large hands! I can't tell you how tired I am of computer mice that seem always seem to be made for circus folk!!! LoL! Older gamers like me have a hard time "clawing" onto a small mouse and having our hand cramp up in the middle of a firefight or just at that moment when we're ready to hurl that magic lightning bolt at an oncoming beast of the wild. Not any more!! This is a BIG mouse for BIG hands! Yay!!! I couldn't be more ecstatic about it. Ok...onward with the review!First, let's get this one part out of the way, the first picture you see is not the device you're getting. THAT picture is of the older SteelSeries WoW MMO Mouse. Just disregard that picture and instead focus on the remaining 4 pictures and THAT device is what you're getting. The SteelSeries Cataclysm WoW MMO Gaming Mouse that has 14 of the most wonderfully programmable buttons one person could ask for and usually more than you'll need. In addition to this, this mouse has a color adjustable sort-of backlight (if you will)...16 + million colors...which are controlled through the SteelSeries software utility. The device is packed in a box that is decently sturdy box that has nice artwork adorning the front facing which opens up to reveal the mouse on display. All of this, coupled with the descriptive information on functions and such, makes for an eye-pleasing presentation which adds value to the device and it's user.Second, set up. I must implore all gamers that purchase this mouse henceforth to go to http://steelseries.com/us/support/downloads and download the latest and greatest driver set. The driver also includes the software utility that is used for customizing profiles, programming buttons, setting up custom macros, setting up DPI and CPI which can be individually set per profile and...AND...customizing that backlight color (if you want) that I spoke of earlier. Speaking more about the custom backlight colors, of which there are 16+million colors to choose from, you can also set the illumination intensity as well as seeing a setting to make the light steady or pulsating. On the part of setting up custom profiles, buttons and macros and such, you'll notice a bit of a learning curve if you're not used to the SteelSeries brand of software...(like me...I'm a long time user of Logitech software). So that being said, once you've figured out how to set up your profiles, buttons and macros you'll like this mouse a lot better. Yes, this mouse is geared for World of Warcraft and ships with a default WoW profile ready to go without any additional programming to be done unless the user needs to switch things around for personal preference.Third, use and comfort. To date, I haven't identified or noticed any issues or problems with the software or gaming profiles and I've been using this device in some seriously, almost ridiculously long hours of gameplay all in attempts to upset the mix to see what will, if anything will, fall apart. NADA! Nothing has made this baby give me so much as a burp or hick-up. So, what games HAVE I been playing and using to test this mouse? Well, for starters there's World of Warcraft, Star Wars The Old Republic, Crysis 2, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Dragon Age Ultimate Edition, The Elder Scrolls III, IV & V (no problems setting up profiles for ANY of these), Infestation Survivor Stories, Dishonored, Fallout 3 GOTY, Fallout New Vegas and get this....Flight Simulator X...(YES! I used the ability to make complex custom macros for simulated aircraft commands that worked like a charm!!!) Moving on to comfort, I've found that using any other mouse just does not feel right. If you want an idea of how big my hands are, they are about the size of a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Gamers with small hands BE WARNED! You WILL struggle with this device due to its size, plain and simple. As far as weight goes, it's not too heavy and it's not too light. It seems you can push it around equally easy on just about any surface and receive the same excellent results. If you have a small or an averaged sized mouse pad, don't be surprised to find that while you've been chasing that horde of orcs far and wide you've once again tracked off pad, and in the midst of that simple distraction, you've once again fallen prey to the war hounds you didn't see flanking you! LoL!!! Aaahhh! The humiliation of it all!!! LoL!!! You'll probably want a larger gaming mouse pad that will accommodate the size of the SteelSeries Cataclysm WoW MMO Gaming Mouse just to avoid frustrating and humiliating future virtual deaths by horde and hound alike!Summation. A BIG comfortable mouse for BIG hands, easy to learn, easy to program, easy to customize and gamer worthy. I couldn't have asked for and certainly didn't expect such a surprisingly good quality gaming device that I've found in the SteelSeries Cataclysm WoW MMO Gaming Mouse. If you decide to purchase this mouse, then hordes and hounds beware!

there are much better ways of waste your money

I don't know what kind of genius design this but I could bet for Dennis Rodman, Michael Jordan, Hulk Hogan or maybe the green giant pea guy. this mouse is painfully huge. even as I have regular to small hands, I give him to a friend that have huge hands and even he said that was in pain just at 15 minutes of use, he couldn't reach all the buttons even loosing the grip and he need almost the half of the desk for move it nicely.of course my experience was a nightmarish worst than him. is super good looking and a great decorative piece in your desk but if you are a serious raider and you can't entirely cover a basketball with your hand, then this mouse definitely is not for you.at technical level was a pain configure the buttons because you really can't configure them. they already have a con fig and you just keybind the actions to that config. for just one example, the first button, the one to the left of the left button, is config as "tab" which normally I use to switch the target (I'm a warlock). I couldn't put another thing there and I just simply can't live with the switching targeting tab so, the key bind was a failure.is nice to see that the price drops so drastically (I bought it at 100 bucks), because that says that I'm right, this mouse simply don't worth it.
