Worth 8 Bucks
By Mayuresh I. on Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2016
I'll probably get a lot of hate for this, but I actually like this game...for the price. As such, I will split my review into a Pros vs Cons list. Pros: - The game is only eight bucks for pc. This alone should be enough for just the single player campaign alone. - The campaign is actually pretty good. While cheesy and cliche at multiple moments, the story had an interesting alternate history/future that was interesting to play through. There were also a variety in the gameplay during the missions. Some missions were underwater while others were in space. - Bots! I actually found this a pretty useful feature in the modern Call of Duty's as they enable you to practice by yourself without having to find players online. Cons: - The multiplayer added a ridiculously annoying system of leveling up and unlocking weapons and attachments. - There is a maximum of 700 people playing online on PC... and they're all playing TDM. - Quickscoping is difficult (sort of), you have to dragscope most of the time (this may be a pro for some of you). - Multiplayer maps are designed poorly; they are often far too large and complicated to find your enemies. - Following the last point, the huge maps encourage camping. There is no map like Rust on MW2 to encourage actual combat. - Lag spikes; I have a pretty good computer that runs the game on high settings at 50-60 fps. However, at times, there will be a 5-10 second freeze in which your player cannot move or do anything. This just makes you a sitting duck for other players. - Weapon choices don't seem quite balanced. Is CoD:Ghosts worth 60 bucks? Hell no. Is it worth 8? Hell yes.

Ghosts Leaves You Kind of Empty
By Dawn J. Douglas on Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2013
I started playing CoD from the beginning with very first WWII developed by Infinity Ward. It was fun, the action was continuous and the graphics were decent. That was back in 2002. Fast forward to Ghost. First, the story is ridiculous. Like Black Ops, it's convoluted and contrived. If Ghosts are so super elite why do they fight in much the same way as all CoD shooters? Why not more opportunities for stealth kill? Basically, you go from scenario to scenario shooting. Second, there is no real directions. There is too much graphic layering to intuitively figure out where you are suppose to go. If I lost site of the rest of the team, I had no idea where I was suppose to go so I ended up roaming around. Way markers, or some kind of direction arrows like in previous games that let you know where the friendlies are would have been helpful. The missions seemed to go on and on and on without any real change up in the action. Sure, a couple of missions you get to be the dog, then on one or two you get to do cool things like scale a building or fire on a space station, but the action is redundant and very boring. I like Infinity Ward, but this is not a fun FPS shooter at all. I give it one star. I didn't have any problems with the graphics, ran fine on the highest setting except for one scene where the water reflection washed everything out. Pass on this one for $60.00.
