Heavy Duty Outlet Plug Adapter - 6 Pack

We bought these for a four week trip to Switzerland and Italy. From pictures and descriptions, they look just like the adapters we used a few years ago in Albania, Greece in Austria. We still had two of those old adapters left, which we also brought on our trip. This product did not fit into a single plug anywhere we went (and we traveled quite a bit). The prongs are just a bit more thick than our old adapters, which worked perfectly. Two different places we stayed, we were able to plug these ones into other adapters, and then into the plug receptacles. That's right folks: THESE ADAPTERS ONLY WORK IF THEY HAVE ADAPTERS. Sorry for the all caps, but it was incredible frustrating. When your adapter needs an adapter, it sort of defeats the purpose of having...an adapter. A useful travel tip: thankfully, our two older adapters (not this model) worked, and thankfully, we also had with us two short US extension cords with space for three plugs on each end. So we were able to make do with only our old adapters. These were a waste of space, and a continual frustration as we tried them everywhere we went.
