Good Product

Very happy with the ease of installation and the quality of the picture. I wish they would have had a way to connect a audio out from within the player and not only have an external RCA out. If you intend to connect this player to your car stereo you will need to run the audio cable from the external ports.

Pyle of Garbage ...
By MarkInIA on Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2013
I was looking for a nice large flip down monitor with DVD for my conversion van, and I didn't want to pay inflated retail prices so I spotted the Pyle product line on Amazon. In the past, I know Pyle made nice speakers and other components, so I thought I'd give it a go. NOT a good idea. If it were made well, it would represent a great value and combination of features ... but unfortunately it's a total PYLE of junk. I paid a professional installer to put it in ... it worked for a week, but had intermittent problems ... sometimes it wouldn't turn on, etc. Then it stopped working altogether, just flashes a red light on the front panel when it is turned on, and it ate a $15 Smurf movie which I couldn't get out ... so I contacted Amazon and they said go ahead and uninstall the unit and they'll ship me a brand new one. Mistake number two. I said OK, I'll give it another chance, maybe this is just an isolated bad unit. I found out they are ALL PYLES of you-know-what. Amazon sent out another one, authorized a return on the first. Got an appointment to have the first unit removed and the new one installed, (cost another $150 for installer) This time it worked with one disk I tested at the installation place ... then I got home, went to insert another DVD for my kids, and the unit didn't want to pull the inserted disk into the drive. I switched it off, turned it on again, and it inserted the disk ... but wouldn't play it. It would eject it either, I figured out if I switched to AV mode and back again it would "reset" the DVD and eject the disk. Tried several times, but it wouldn't play a DVD. If the unit would work at all, I'd love it ... but have to say that after spending $300 in installation fees to install/remove two units, I'm convinced this brand apparently builds PYLES of trash and sells them with no regard for quality control or their clients' issues with the end result. Well the end result of anything made by this company is a total and complete PYLE. I recommend you ignore the appeal of the low price for so many features on this unit, and realize that if you buy it, at least half of the features will probably not operate. Stay away IMHO.
