Terrific Sound
By DonTheD on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2016
Disabled, I only wanted 1 of these speaker cabinets for bedside computer sourced music and movies and a big screen TV. This Pyle PADH212 big sound cabinet costs only twice the price of my broken, standard, cracker box PC speakers. So why not? Too close to enjoy stereo separation and 2 speaker cabinets would be too much. What I did to combine right and left channel stereo sound together into one Pyle speaker cabinet: 1. Wired adapter 1: Single 1/8" male stereo audio jack/to split right and left channel, RCA female connectors. - Plugged 1/8" jack into the computer audio output. 2. Wired adapter 2: Single RCA male connector/to split right and left channel, RCA male connectors. - Plugged the single RCA male connector into the right side RCA audio input of separately purchased stereo amplifier. - Plugged the split right and left channel, RCA male connectors into the split left and right channel, RCA female connectors of adapter 1. - Installed a pair of speaker wires from right side amplifier speaker wire output, to the Pyle speaker cabinet, speaker wire input. 3. Wired adapter 3: Single RCA male connector/to split right and left channel, RCA male connectors (same as adapter 2). - Plugged the single RCA male connector into the left channel amplifier RCA audio input, the mate to the amplifier right channel audio input used above, in order to use same amplifier input setting, whether computer sourced music and movies or cable TV. - Plugged split right and left channel, RCA male connectors into the right and left RCA female audio output connectors of the big screen TV. Decades ago I had 2 speaker cabinets with a total of 8 - 10" woofers, 2 - 6" mid range and 2 pico tweeters. With that experience I can say, after tweaking my software music player equalizer, just one Pyle PADH212 cabinet of speakers, in close proximity, has more than enough terrific sound. Note: Installing a pair of speaker wires from the right channel amplifier speaker wire output, and a pair of speaker wires from the left channel amplifier speaker wire output, and then connecting the other ends of both the right and the left speaker wires to a single speaker cabinet, speaker wire input, will not work. It short circuits the amplifier speaker wire output connections. It's the same as installing speaker wire from the right side amplifier speaker wire output directly into the left side amplifier speaker wire output. Most amplifiers have protective measures and will turn off the amplifier without damage. Note: If the amp is engineered with total amplifier wattage split between 2 channels, only 1 side, half of the total amp wattage is driving the speaker cabinet. As in my example, right channel computer sourced music and movies, left channel cable TV, but same amplifier input setting.

No good

It's cheap and very generic. No weight to it. The box sounds very thin you'll be lucky if it's ½ muffin haha if you're lucky. Didn't even use it going to return item.
