(5 Count) Energizer CR2025 Lithium Battery

Purchased these for my Fitbit Zip as it requires a CR2025 coin battery cell and wanted to save myself the trip to the store. One of the first things I noticed when I opened the shipping box was that the metal card backing foil material of the packaging was torn from rattling around inside the box. The fact that they use a metal foil backing material on the packaging makes little sense to me as it is a conductor and the coin cells are all oriented terminal side down. The backing foil is very thin and will tear open the other surrounding coin cells when attempting to separate the coin cells along the perforations. Since packaging has little to do with performance I tried my best to look beyond the issues noted above. I loaded one of the CR2025 coin cells into my Fitbit Zip. Within 15 hours my Fitbit was reporting low battery, however, the screen did not display the low battery icon at first, and took another 6 hours to do so. I had to replace the first CR2025 coin cell after just 21 hours of performance from the first one. I can now understand why they package these as a package of 5 as you will go through all of them in a very short time. There was no expiration date noted anywhere on the packaging or on the coin battery cell itself. These could be old stock that Energizer needed to liquidate or could be old stock from the seller's warehouse. Since I can only speculate as to why these fail to deliver the performance of a store purchased CR2025, I can only advise other buyers that they consider their needs before making a purchase, and should they have a low power draw application without need of reliable performance these might work.
